Hi guys!

This is my first post so sorry if this question is out of place.

I have an environment with a couple of applications that I want to remove.
My question is, if I remove them using the Application Management of the Cloud Administration Tool, would I immediately get back the space those apps were using or do I have to wait for all the space to become available again?

Thanks!

A DB shrink reclaims disk space of individual databases.  Deleting an OS App and its underlying application database should give the disk space back to the DB server right away.

You should get the space right away after the app removal. We do use CAT tool to perform removal and copy immediately and it seem to work without any storage issues.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe you get the space back right away.  A database shrink needs to be run to reclaim the space. That happens once a month on I believe the second weekend of each month.

Again, someone can correct if this is wrong.
