Question: Where and how can default formatting be set for reporting purposes, is there a way to format “Empty” to retrieve “0” instead?

Answer

Yes, default report formatting for Cube Views, PDFs, and Excel can be set in a number of different places.

 

Application Settings – Sets default formatting across the entire application

Cube View Settings – Sets the formatting specific to the cube view (overwrites Application settings)

Rows and Column Formats – Sets the formatting for specific rows and columns

Cell Formats – Sets the formatting for a specific cell

For number specific formatting to be standardized you can change the  application wide settings under application settings à Number Format.

To get zeros instead of  blanks select the “ #,###,0.00;(#,###,0.00);0.00” format
