Hi, I didn't see anything in the Install/Config guide or in the Onestream Community search, so I figured I'd just ask.Is there documentation regarding installing a self-hosted OneStream setup into a cloud environment?Particularly regarding the registration/addition of new server instances (consolidation,staging, web, etc) into the config files:-- Web Server Configuration file\Application Servers-- Application Server Configuration file\Server Sets Between server lifecycle events and lambdas calls, I'm sure something can be hacked together, but just thought I'd confirm what is/isn't available. Hi All, I am trying to add two UD2 dimension members in the Cube view member filter and obviously , its not allowing me to enter them. I went through the approach of creating a dimension in UD8 and then copying all the data from the UD2 dimension to UD8 dimension in order to show the two columns. However, it is not working for me. I used the following code in dynamic calc formula for UD8: B2C_PGC_Provider so that I can reference it to UD2 ( all member dimensions and included data):  Dim U2Filter As List(Of Member)=api.Members.GetBaseMembers(api.Pov.UD2Dim.DimPk, api.Members.GetMemberId(dimtype.UD2.Id, "Programs_Provider")) For Each memberObj In U2FilterBRApi.ErrorLog.LogMessage(si, memberObj.Name)Next. Hi, We have a user that is getting the error below while trying to refresh an excel file using Smartview.  I've had a look at the file, and it's nothing special. Just a few XFgetCell formulas, and it runs fine for me. Error: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collecion. Parameter name: index.   Any ideas folks?

Are there any steps that need to be taken for YE close in OneStream. Balances rollover P&L to R.E. and Opening balances for BS accounts. Do we just run a 2024 force consolidation? Any recommendations?

Hello, I am trying to pull data into OneStream from Snowflake using REST Api. Hi all, I'm looking for a way to skip a dimension parent level in a Tree expansion while still maintaining a tree style view.  Does anyone know if this is possible? Alternatively, does anyone know of a way to declare an expansion MyHierarchy.Tree and include a .Where or .Remove clause?  I can't seem to get this to work for me so I wonder if it's just not possible using the "Tree" method. Example: Default Expansion based on .Tree expansion Parent 1     Child 2        Child 3            Base MemberDesired View (skip the Child3 parent):Parent 1      Child 2            Base Member

Hi,  Anyone has any idea how I can setup security to limit the users from seeing other entities but at the same time not impacting IC partner for IC Matching Report? The cube views are setup for all entities. When doing it via entity dimension - setting read access and read and write access, IC Matching report is affected as when performing intercompany, the user can't see their IC partner.

For example,  when a user creates a journal and wants to attach some evidence.  Is it possible to stop them from uploading a 40 gb video file or something equally silly?  

When loading a YTD feed for an entity, if that entity is terminated mid-year (possibly moved to a new entity due entity structure changes) the imputed periodic value translates at the current period FX rate causing there to be a residual USD value remaining in the first period where no balances exist.  This issue is discussed on page 77 of the Foundations book, however the explanation on that page seems to indicate that this is mathematically correct, and therefore seems to infer that it is therefore a correct accounting presentation.Has anyone found any combination of scenario, workflow, or cube settings that has prevented this from happening, or have you used a business rule or some other process to remove these values from periods where no activity or balances should appear?

Hi, This is most likely basic but I cannot find a reference for this.  I want to show the time Quarter in a cube view, but the name should be the last month of the quarter instead of Q1. Should be March 2023. May I know how to do this? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I sent out an excel cube view report to My colleague. He filled in the numbers and sent it back to me to submit. However, when I click the submit button in excel, the cube view report number is overridden ( to existing system data) and the number my colleagues input is gone. Any way to submit his number before the cube view loads the previous number? Thank you.

Hello Fellow OneStreamers, Please bear with the long post. I have the following workflow profile structure that contains Level 2 data unit overlap I am trying to change based on a financial planning requirement. The requirement comes in when an analyst reconfigures an hourly labor position in one of the assumption forms. A clear, retransform, load, and seed process should occur to align loaded data with the new configuration that will be used throughout the planning process for a particular position. The current workflow structure is a hinderance here because kicking off this process for a particular position retransforms and loads all entities which is much more data than needed. It also contains Level 2 data unit overlap because the same data unit is currently being loaded for the specified accounts within the current workflow profile structure. Some users are facing issue when running a calculate in a specific form in OS. I attached the error log. We're not able to replicate the issue. We notice that around the time the issue occured the CPU usage was 14%. I don't know if there's any link. Can you, please, help ? Was making a application copy of which we do all the time. I have one environment. OS told us to download the new version of application copy and we did. Ran fine last week now we are receiving a failed error. I noticed that the iis reset is now not in the script.  This is my selection  

Dear all, I'd like to know how do you define a particular text for an IC member. I thought that once you define a text for an entity having a IsIC = True will transfer that information automatically to the same member in the IC dimension but it seems that it doesn't work that way. How do I filter I#ICEntities exclude E#Group(Text 5 = Equity) in Cube View and Excel Add In?

We are working on security settings for RCM and noticed that we can view the Actual results/all workflow steps. Is there a way to hide the Actual workflow steps from RCM only users? Currently if a user has access to RCM under the Model scenario they can still click on the Actual scenario and see their steps/all data. If there is not a way to easily hide the actual workflow steps/data are the 2 main options to create a suffix for the Model scenario and have it be its own cube root or to do slice security? Or do we need to also have the Read group for actuals be a large group of users that don't include only RCM users? 

Hi all,    This is a follow up on this original post (Reduce the size of empty row - OneStream Community (onestreamsoftware.com)). Does anyone know how to reduce the row size? For columns we have the ColumnWidth option in the formatting tab but there's no direct equivalence for rows. Thank you!

Hi, I am trying to load data from file where amount should be calculated as prior period minus current period and loaded. I tried using derivative rule to setup current period equal to prior period and multiply by -1 as below but it is being assigned to prior month, it is taking the current month value as below and calculated as zero. Please help me how I can assigned prior month value to current month.   Thanks, Manju Komara

I am trying to build a cube view where the columns represent the 4 quarters in the year and then a YTD column. So if the POV is 2023M8 then I would like to see Q1 2023, Q22023, Q3 (should be M7+M8) and Q4 should be zero. I have tried this but it is still displaying the total for q3 even if my pov is M8 it is still picking up M9 T#Quarter(|PovTime|).allpriorinyearinclusive:V#periodic my next column has this T#Quarter(|PovTime|).allnextinyear:V#periodic but it is still showing the YTD reversal any suggestions? thanks

If value at SourceAccount MAIN has a value of 1, then: Source should be SourceAccount A for Target Account A and Source should be SourceAccount B for Target Account B Otherwise, Source should be SourceAccount C for Target Account A, Source should be SourceAccount D for Target Account B Thanks!  

I am trying to update StageSoureData table with member information during import step at BREventOperationType.Transformation.ParseAndTrans.WriteTransformedData event. Next when I go to validate step I am not seeing the updated data from StageSoureData table.Any idea from which table or cache the validate and intersect steps will get data?Thank you

Dear all, I'd like to know how you deal with this kind of case, because > and < symbols are special for .XML files. I have a case where the description uses a ">" or "<" symbols but they are not properly recognized once they have been loaded, instead they are loaded as ">" or "<". Do you know how to define them so the load would work properly?   Thank you.

We have come across an issue where a subledger has been loaded but is not picking up a singular item/line in the subledger. The item contains a number of commas and special characters in one of the text attribute columns, as do other items in the subledger, these other items load no problem. For additional context the item contains over 100 characters in this text attribute column, as do other items in the subledger, and although a character limit had been placed in the data source via complex expression all other items make it in except this item. Any thoughts would be great, Thanks!
