Recently, our client requested that the reports display descriptions associated with specific combinations of dimensions. These descriptions correspond to the unique combination of all dimensions and are provided in the data import file.How can we achieve this? Would creating a new dimension be a viable solution?What alternative approaches could we consider? Since the model is already built and this requirement was not initially specified, we're exploring the best way to address it. 

I'm trying to build a label that shows target goals for each entity. Now since each region has different goals. I'm looking for my label to change the value based on the entity selected.  Here is an example (We're still in development so not the most eye catching) Its referencing a parameter --  How can I pass a condition or a rule that reads the POV entity and shows me that specific value.

Has anyone been able to successfully obtain a parent name for a member, within a UD8 formula without needing to leverage a text field on the member (using Parent Sort Order for example)? As an example, I have a base level entity member of B1229 (this is Branch). I would like to return D1229 - Chicago based on its' parent sort order of 2 (this is District). Appreciate any insight!

Hi All - I have a quick question When I am using the Data Buffer, I am able to write to the Elimination Member.The Same for the Set DataCell as well.When I try to use the same in the Member Script Value it is not writing to the Elimination Origin except forms. Hi , I was wondering if i can have dynamic POV in a cubeview without BR. Is there possibility of condition in POV for example I can put a param scenario and say whenever Budget UD1= Model and if Actual it should be 1000.

Does anyone else have issues with locking and unlocking FX rates on the Application tab in the UI?  I can clearly see some periods with rates locked that I want to unluck, but the system will not let me unlock them.  I've tried logging out, ending session, etc.; only then do I occasionally get it to work.

Hi everyone, we come across an issue with the excel addin formula (XFGETCELL). Although all dimensions are specified in the formula, the result gets impacted by the settings of the Cube POV. Sometimes no values get retrieved, sometimes all cells with formulas show #Name or #Value. Uur expectation is that whatever is set in die Cube POV, the XFGETCELL formula retrieves the data based on the dimensions used in the formula. Does anyone of you have this issue as well? To my mind this is a bug in the excel addin. Regards Martin

Hello,I know you can center columns in a report, but is there a way to do this for cube views exporting to excel? I've only found a workaround where you go to export it to report and then change it to excel, but this won't work for us longterm.Would like to be able to do this - ok with either embedded or just exporting. 

Hello All, I have a Cube View that I want to use as data source for a BI VIewer object. When I execute this CV, I can see data: When I use this (basic) CV as MD in data adapter, it is empty. I checked the set up steps in the doc and I can't see what I could have missed.   Would you have any ideas why the result table doesn't return values that I can see in my Cube View ? I have attached multiple Cube views in one excel(Different sheets) through cube view connection. Here, i want to pull that consolidated excel file into Books. how can we achieve it. can you please help us to sort out this.    

Hello to everyone. Does anyone know how to build in Excel Add-ins for Task Manager? Our OneStream version is 8.2.2.16127? Guidance for this version provides the step-by-step instructions how to set up Add-ins for Word and PowerPoint, but not for Excel Add-ins.  Our Task Manager version is PV800 SV100. If to be very specific, we are looking for the opportunity to install Excel Add-Ins to link the preparation status from excel file to particular task in Task Manager. For example, if we have the excel file somewhere outside OneStream (on Sharepoint), and when the work done inside this file, we can push built-in "Complete" button in this file. The completion status from this file automatically forces the change in the preparation status in Task Manager for this task, which is linked to this file through the action type functionality in Task Manager.  Does it sound real? Was able to "Process Cube" for October and November... in attempting to close a form for December (1Q) - now receiving this error message. The Entity Assignments and Calculation Definitions on the Workflow Profile are the same as they've ever been. Is it normal for certain security settings to be "reset" when a copy of production is made to dev? Every time we make a copy of production into the development environment certain security fields within Security Roles, Entity dimension, Scenario dimension, Workflow Profiles and Data Management Groups are set to "(Not Found)" instead of the correct security group.  Is this normal? If so, what's the easiest way to update this? Thanks!

Hi all,I'm quite new in OS and, as a Dev, I'm writing some code in Assemblies/Business Rules.I'm experiencing an issue with Intellisense.While I'm working from inside a class, I can see all the hints supplied by intellisense for all the Standard/OS Classes/Methods and for the Methods inside my current class.Unfortunately I cannot see hints for my other custom classes/methods that I wrote under the same assembly/namespace (they are correctly referenced, the assembly is compiled)I tried adding triple-slash comments, but - again - no luck.Just wondering if there's something I should do to make intellisense works or if I stumbled in a platform's limit.Thanks in Advance for Your precious helpFabioG 

We are working on a POC to extract data using FdxExecuteDataUnit.  We are using an Extensibility business rule and running it using a DM job.  I am getting assistance from our corporate IT group as I am not good with C#.  The business rule is writing data to a table and then is taking the data from the table and putting it in a text file.  There is something missing or wrong with this and I am hoping someone can help with the code since I do not have access to the TechTalks that focus on FdxExecute. The code was written to do the FdxExecuteDataUnit and then also write some sample data to the table.  This way if the FdxExecute does not generate any data we at least get a file with the sample data.  I am getting a file but it only has the sample data spelled out in lines 100-150 of the business rule.  I am also getting the following warning when I compile the rule:  "1) Warning at line 54:  Unreachable code detected" If I comment out that line

Hello OneStream Community, Currently working on setting up an automated process to handle BAI file uploads directly into each specific bank workflow in our OneStream application.  1. BAI Parser & Data Source Configuration - We've installed the BAI Parser dashboard to view and manage all imported BAI files. The BAI data source has been configured and initial tests with sample files have been successful. 2. File Transfer & Business Rules - Plan is to automate the transfer of finalized BAI files from our system via FTP to the OneStream file system. This requires a BR to connect with the FTP site and currently developing a BR to facilitate this connection. Once the files are in OS, they'll be imported into the appropriate bank workflow. 3. SFTP Wrapper and Workflow Integration - After the initial FTP transfer, a separate BR will be implemented to securely retrieve and upload the BAI file into the bank workflows.
