when down load excel add in 6.3 it shows as OneStream XF in tool bar. Once you open you excel workbook with data, the data will not show unless you disable the Excel add in from COM Add-ins. can some advise how to fix the issue?

We have an issue where in an excel template when opened by few users the formulae doesn't work as expected They get  _xlfn ._xlws prefix before the functions which is because workbook contains a function that is not supported in the version of Excel that they are currently running Excel version used on the users machine is 2016 and according to onestream this is a compatible version with 7.0.1  Error screenshot below, let me know if anyone ran into similar issue This is not an issue when the same template is opened using excel part of office 365  

Good afternoon, How can I pass a parameter selection from a Button/Combo Box to a URL within a text editor component. The client would like to select the UD4 and have it retrieve a Word doc / Text Editor for that selected UD4. Within the scenario dimension does the workflow tracking frequency / Start Time / Finish time affect the forms templates form frequency? We had scenarios that run for 4 months with the start month and workflow month being the same, the quarterly/half year forms worked as expected. We have since changed the work flow start and end times to be the full calendar year (all 12 months), but this has caused the the quarterly/half yearly forms to no longer appear in the workflow. They only appear if the frequency is set to monthly. Can anyone explain before i raise a ticket? Thanks      

Hey everyone! I've added a new department to my application and just realized it's not showing up as an option when I'm adding a new headcount-- see screenshot below. Has anyone seen this? I added 7 other departments together and none of them have this issue. I don't know where else to look for errors so any tips would be greatly appreciated.    

Hi all,I'm having an issue whereby I'm importing profit and loss actual's data via a csv file into one of the data upload workflow steps we have set up.However some of the data is being loaded into months it shouldn't be, even though on the in the csv file the data is pointing to the correct time period.So for example in the upload file, data is put against time periods such as 2023M1, 2023M2 etc. Having imported the data, validated it and loaded it to the reporting cube we have, some of the data is being loaded into 2023M1 and also 2023M2, when on the upload file it's only on there once against 2023M1.I've checked the transformation rules and everything is set up correctly in terms of translating the import file, so I was wondering if anyone has come across this type of issue before or if anyone has any advice as to where I could look next?I'm pretty new to OneStream so any help would be much appreciated.Thanks,Ged

Hi , I was wondering if anyone who has implemented OneStream has come up against issues from their IT Security people with OneStream decision not to empoly a Web Applcation Firewall (WAF) as standard. This seems to be a common requirement of most IT Security governance approvals so I'd be interested in seeing if anyone has had this issue and how they resolved/accomodated it.   many thanks   Steve

Hi, I noticed that when exporting a workflow/cubeview to excel the default save location of that file is C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\OneStream. The local IT group policy is to empty that folder upon rebooting the computer. This path is not setup in my own/local excel options. Is there a way to change this folder location to for example 'downloads'?

Hi All, Has anyone set up a new scenario to load stub period data and is willing to share your experience. I will need to produce financial reports for the full year 2022 and partial year from Aug-22 to Dec-22.  So, I am thinking of copying Aug-22 to Dec-22 actual data to another scenario “Actual22”.  The data will be in USD to avoid translation issues.  However, I am not sure if I should use the same Scenario Type “Actual” for “Actual22” because of the business rules set up in Flow Dimensions for the opening, movements and closingCalc.  What do I need to change if I use Scenario Type “Actual” or another Scenario Type?  What are the other considerations I have missed? Please shed some light. Thank you in advance!

Hi All, I am trying to get my member formula to calculate an unbalanced balance sheet and I built a Quick View to see the calculation. We have a bunch of related party accounts that need to equal other locations within the company similar to intercompany. It would be nice if this can be added to the IC matching table that is on the workflow. I do not want these to eliminate but have visibility to the locations that these accounts are out of balance. Has anyone dealt with something similar to this and if so how do you go about it?

Hi All -    I am attempting to export Stage Data through a Data Management Job using a Business Rule. The customer is hoping to remove some columns from the export and filter down the data by selecting Entity & UD1 prior to the export. Has anyone ever modified the data export sequence extender rule?     Thanks, Emily

We would like the ability to auto consolidate 2 other constant ex rate scenarios once we have consolidated the main Actual scenario.  We want to retain the ability to consolidate the main Actual scenario in isolation also i.e. we don't want to consol all 3 scenarios every time. What would be the best way to do this?

Happy upcoming Father's day everyone!! I just submitted the following enhancement request to OneStream developers. Does it make sense to you. Let me explain the context:Before I select a Workflow I have to select a Cube. Why is that required? Why can’t users organize Workflow under some other criteria of their choice - maybe a folder of Workflows based on Finance Dept's functions?From my experience, a workflow can be designed to update and pull data from multiple cubes; so why is it associated with only one “Cube”? That confuses me.Here is the enhancement request:Under OnePlace - give us a Workflow-Explorer that allows us to organize by creating sub-folders of Workflows.Create a default folder with Consolidation, LRP, Planning, Forecast as sub-folders.May Oracle stock crash -  like Bitcoin and the rest of stock market!!
