Navigation behavior

Hi everyone,

I’ve developed a report using Cube Views and noticed the following behavior with keyboard navigation:

  • The Tab key moves right and then wraps to the next row
  • The Arrow keys move in their respective directions and wrap at the boundaries

When navigation reaches the end of the report, it continues by jumping back to the beginning and starts again from the top.

Is there a way to stop this wrap-around behavior at the report boundaries?
Is there any property setting to control or disable this?

Thanks in advance,
Archana

There is not a setting that would control this.

I was testing this and do not see the same behavior in version 9.2:

  1. I open a cube view and click the Play button to run it
  2. I am prompted for my parameter selections and the Data Explorer Report Returns
  3. I tab through the report as you mentioned and it moves left to right and then wraps to the next row
  4. I reach the end of the report and hit tab and it no longer moves the cursor, it stays in the last cell of the report.

What version are you currently using?

There is not a property setting that controls this functionality.

Thank you for checking and confirming.

You’re right—when the navigation reaches the end of the report, it does not loop back to the top. Apologies for the earlier confusion on my part.

Just to clarify, is there any property to stop the control from wrapping to the next row (i.e., prevent the Tab key from moving to the next row once it reaches the end of a row)?
