Importing from QAD Ledger

Has anybody been able to create a database connection to the QAD ledger system to import data to OneStream?  We are having a nasty time getting SQL to pull from it.

We are trying to use a database connection, but the ODBC connection keeps randomly disonnecting.  CAN you use a database connection to QAD?  We are hoping to use a database connection and SQL to pull data as we would with just about any other GL (as we do with our other three GLs).  We would like avoid a direct connection if at all possible.
