Loading Annotations Only via a Workflow

Is it possible to create a data source to load annotations only from a flat file.

I am tagging the annotations in the flat file with the View dimension.

It seems like the data source always wants an "Amount".  Is this case I have no amount so when I Ioad the data file, I get an error that "No Valid Data Keys in File".  It seems that this should be possible.  Maybe I should do this via Excel loads.

Found the issue.  For future reference, on the Cube’s Integration Tab, ensure that the TextValue field is enabled for the desired Scenario Type.  Lookup "Loading Cell Text as an Annotation Data Attachment" in the Design and Reference Guide.

Hi - I've followed every step from the Loading Cell Text as an Annotation Data Attachment section.

  1. The Cube Integration tab has the textvalue field set to active
  2. Importing is done through a data source with a textvalue field
  3. The Templated import specifies the view with the Tag "V#:[Annotation]"
  4. Similarly the text dimension, tagged "TV#:[#Annotation]"
  5. The Amount Column is set to constant 0.1

For reference, the tags are supplied by this page: Loading Stage Data

The import, including loading to the cube, works smoothly (In the load step you can see that the view is set to "Annotation", there is a column called "Text Value" with the text I want to import)

But - only the annotations doesn't get imported. Am I missing one step?

Regards

I create a post where I did just this. It was many years ago, so not sure if it still works in the current version of OneStream.
