Modifying default value parameter behaviour in dashboards

Hi,

I notice that with dashboards, when allowed to prompt the user for values for their parameters, save the  user's last used value in said dashboard and populate that as the default value when prompted. By comparison, cube views don't store that information, and populate whatever is in the default value for the parameter when prompted.

Is it possible to change what behaviour is used when parameters are requested from the user from a dashboard, and how would I do so?

Have you considered using Substitution Variables for this?  E.g. Reference the user's POV in your param's default e.g. |POVTime|
