Would a P&L account that had a balance in Period1 but was uploaded with a $0 balance in Period2 show as a $0 account in Period2 or the difference between P1 and P2 (a negative value)?

Hello, I am working on a client that already had OneStream implemented.  I am now tasked with introducing additional functionality.  I am experiencing an issue I have not seen before.  When I am in the dimensions page, searching a dimension using the binocular function.  I can search the name and see all of the names pop up in a window.  I then am able to select one and when I click View in Hierarchy the wheel spins and spins, never taking me to the location of that member.  I did notice if I do those steps and the wheel starts spinning and I immediately close OneStream down and go back into the dimensions it opens up with that member I was searching showing on the screen.  So in this case it is faster for me to perform the search, exit, log back in and see the result.  Has anyone else experienced this?  And I have worked with clients that have much larger dimensions than the one I am searching on and have not experienced this. I am trying to update a slice security line using sql. I have been able to update the table on the backend but when I go into OneStream Cube -  Data Access - Data Cell Access Security, it does not show what the table was just updated to. It seems to want an ISS Restart in order for it to update in the Cube Data Access Section. I have also tried using a literal parameter on the member filters and an XFBR to make the changes I want after a button is pressed. Is there a way to update the Slice security without having to restart OneStream besides manually updating it every time?

How do I see if my OneStream application has Drivers based forecasting? Is it a separate module or workflow profile?

Hello everyone, We have a client that uses 13 period time dimension in their current system that we are moving to onestream at the moment. They use period 13 to load TB' post adjustments even input disclosures  currently.We first wanted to use a UD dimension to capture it but I'm more and more leaning towards having custom 13 period time dimension to cater that. I know that is something that needs to be set up during application creation so I'm guessing we need a new application. Is that something to be requested from OneStream to set up?I also would love to hear if any of you had a similar case and how you handled it.

Thought this was cool and wanted to share so others have the recipe.  If you build a default landing Home Page for users upon login, this is where the XML sits for that Dashboard.   Then, (I was thrilled) to discover this) once you have a default Dashboard set for users, the OneStream logo is now a clickable button!  It returns you to your Home Page Dashboard.    

Hi,  Anyone has any idea how I can setup security to limit the users from seeing other entities but at the same time not impacting IC partner for IC Matching Report? The cube views are setup for all entities. When doing it via entity dimension - setting read access and read and write access, IC Matching report is affected as when performing intercompany, the user can't see their IC partner.

When loading a YTD feed for an entity, if that entity is terminated mid-year (possibly moved to a new entity due entity structure changes) the imputed periodic value translates at the current period FX rate causing there to be a residual USD value remaining in the first period where no balances exist.  This issue is discussed on page 77 of the Foundations book, however the explanation on that page seems to indicate that this is mathematically correct, and therefore seems to infer that it is therefore a correct accounting presentation.Has anyone found any combination of scenario, workflow, or cube settings that has prevented this from happening, or have you used a business rule or some other process to remove these values from periods where no activity or balances should appear?

Was making a application copy of which we do all the time. I have one environment. OS told us to download the new version of application copy and we did. Ran fine last week now we are receiving a failed error. I noticed that the iis reset is now not in the script.  This is my selection  

We are working on security settings for RCM and noticed that we can view the Actual results/all workflow steps. Is there a way to hide the Actual workflow steps from RCM only users? Currently if a user has access to RCM under the Model scenario they can still click on the Actual scenario and see their steps/all data. If there is not a way to easily hide the actual workflow steps/data are the 2 main options to create a suffix for the Model scenario and have it be its own cube root or to do slice security? Or do we need to also have the Read group for actuals be a large group of users that don't include only RCM users? 

OneStream community,  I have been experiencing a weird bug lately... when scrolling too quickly in the FX Rates page, OneStream freezes up.  Sometimes, going to my computer Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Delete) and ending the program closes OneStream, while other times that does not even work and I have to restart my computer.   Are other experiences this issue/bug?

Hi, We're trying to allow all users (Everyone) write access to a specific dimension V#Annotation for all entities that they have read access to. Example: UserA is part of a security group that has only read access to Entity1. We would like them to be able to write only to V#Annotation on Entity1 as well. We've tried using Data Cell Access Security but I can't get it to increase / decrease security where we want it to. Is it possible to increase access to users who don't already have write access to a specific entity? If so, what would be the best way to accomplish this?

Hi . Does someone know what is the maximum number of members allowed for a product dimension?, we are assessing implementing the SKU reporting level and we manage around 13k products, I am wondering if the application can manage this volume of data. Regards.
