Hi All,Have anyone of you explored the use of AI tools like Claude to speed up OneStream build? If so, can you share the experience?In one of my recent project, I had to reverse engineer 100s of Business Rules for documentation purpose.  By using CoPilot and Github, I was able to reverse engineer BRs in documentation format in few hours which would have been very painful otherwise and would have taken weeks to do so.Would love to hear how the ongoing excitement (or hype) around AI-led accelerated development can potentially help with OneStream build.Thanks.

Good morning all, i've been asked to add some customer satisfaction values to our reports and its just a score out of 5, this works fine for base entities but I really need to parents to be an average of the base Entites that have a value. Is there a way t achieve this? appreciate your time. Tad      

I have created a folder under application database in File share, I am trying to rename the folder because of some requirement changes, is it possible to update the folder name? Or even update the file name inside that folder?

Hi folks,My suppression in my cubeview doesn't work. If I turn on any suppression (including 'invalid') the cubeview returns blank (no rows at all). It's a cube that's been loaded with dynamic data services and the data is showing as NotStored. I wonder if that could be the cause? Anyone else observe this or have any tricks? I've tried every combo of suppression option I can think of... I'm surprised it would return nothing even with only 'suppress invalid' checked..

Hi, We have a few accounts that contain stored formulas. These accounts contain formulas that reference another Account and Parent entity and it stores the result at a Base Entity. Below formula is for an account that has a formula pass 4. We are storing the result in "BaseEntity" and calculate Account1 by looking at OPEX at a Parent Entity. Obviously, since it is referencing a Parent Entity we have to run our consolidations twice in order to get the result. Is there a way to sum up the Base entities of Parent1 and reference that value in a formula or is there a way to run a consolidation within the formula for just that Parent Entity? In other CPM/EPM products I've worked with in the past you can right rules where you run an aggregation on the Entity and then run your calculation. In OneStream I cannot seem to find a way to do this. Is there an ability to organize a default order for the columns in LIM? I understand the user can customize the order, but we'd like to determine a starting order. Register Definition doesn't give the traditional arrows available to reorder. 

Dears,  I need move one base member under another parent in UD1 dimensions, the problem is that member should be consolidated till specific time period and then should be consolidated under another parent. There is no option like "percent consolidation" with time frame on UD1 dimensions. Could anyone have any solution for described problem? Before: U1#A(parent) U1#A001(base) consolidated till proper month in 2026 U1#A002(base) After: U1#B(parent) U1#A001(base) consolidated after proper month in 2026 U1#B001(base)

Hi OS Community.  has anyone encountered this error when logging into OneStream? "Another user is already logged into the application on this client. That user must log out of their external identity provider before you can log in." I ran into this issue today with a user and wanted to see if anyone has experienced the same thing and found a fix.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Edit: I found a similar post from past [ Unable to Login into OneStream]  where it was suggested to log out of the organizational SSO account, but just wondering if there's a permanent fix or root cause of this.

I've been going through some training material on DCS for a use case that requires frequent changes in a dimension (UD3 - SKU). Because of this, I'm considering dynamic dimensions where the SKU can be written and generated via code. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that supports writing data from a cube view. I've only found material that says the "Dynamic Cube" needs to have the share and edit feature turned on.Question - Is it even possible to create a cube, use a dynamic dimension as one of its dimensions, write allocation calcs to allocate data to SKU level and be able to modify that data using cube views?If not, what is the best way to handle this use case without having to create another non-dynamic SKU dimension.

Hi all,I'm experiencing a strange issue on OneStream (rel 9.2.0.18004) that was working as expected under previous release (8.*)In a dashboard I have combos that let me select Scenario and Time, with a "POV Action" that set them back setting - respectively - WFScenario and WFTime parameters.Now, starting from the above mentioned release, whenever I change a combo, the focus moves from the dashboard, opening the selected Workflow.So, the User is experiencing something like:Launch the DashboardSelect ScenarioSystem opens current WorkFlowOpen back my dashboardSelect TimeSystem opens current WorkflowOpen back my dashboardRun the actionIn previous release, the POV Action didn't took the User away from the current dashboard.Have you experienced the same issue ? Hi,We are working on a Proof of Concept (POC) with the aim of implementation. However, one issue remains a roadblock and is hindering the adoption of the solution: the deletion of lines loaded with the same amounts, which we are unable to reconcile or isolate.In TXM, our ERP system sends us many identical lines (following corrections by the accountants): e.g., Transaction ID 1, CPT1, Invoice: 10000 Amount: 10; Transaction ID 2, CPT1, Invoice: 10000 Amount: 10; Transaction ID 3, CPT1, Invoice: 10000 Amount: 10.I would like to know how, within a single Data Set and from the same Data Source, to reconcile and/or isolate these lines, which represent unnecessary noise in the analyses. From my understanding, intra-Data Set reconciliations are not possible in this case. Hi All,We are using a spreadsheet component on a dashboard to show a cubeview.  When we enter text into an annotation field, it works fine and you just have to hit save afterwards for the data to be committed to the cell.  However, if we want to attach a file to the cell, once we do that and click ok, we are prompted with a message box that says "Do you want to refresh OneStream data?  All unsaved changes will be lost".  Regardless, of whether we say yes or no, the file still gets attached.Is there anyway to disable this prompt as it really doesn't offer any value to us?  Is this out-of-the-box functionality?Thx,Mike 

Hi, I have a dashboard with 5 tabs which is assigned to a workflow step. One of the tab has a cube view where assumptions are inputted. I want this tab to be visible only for administrators and not for every user. IsVisible is something i have used to hide dashboard components with an XFBR but i dont see the same option for embedded dashboard. Is there a way to get this done?

Hi everyone,I need to load data in Onestream in MTD, and I imagine there is an out-of-the-box way to visualize that same data in YTD in a report without having to compute it through a BR, but I cannot understand how. I loaded Jan and Feb, but no matter what View I select I keep seeing MTD valuesCan someone please tell me how to do it?Thank you! 

Hello All, for our project, we are using the In Use property in UD2 with the Time/Scenario dependency option. Seems to work but the problem for us and also raised by customer is the maintenance part of it. We showed them how to use Grid View but with that we are not able to see how this In Use property is configured by scenario and time. Grid View only shows In Use ticked box everywhere even if we set it to False for some scenario/time combinations. This is really a drawback for us now in implementation phase and for them in the future to administer this application. Does anybody that used scenario/time dependant set up (whether for in use property or for any text attributes, that would be same problem) had a good way to maintain this property without having to go one by one in each member to see what is configured and update it ? Or did you achieve differently the requirement to handle the fact to activate/inactivate some members over time without using the In Use property ? Thank you

Hi all,I'm trying to pass a Dynamic Parameter (from a repeater) to dynamically build the Bound List of a Combo.While (for example) ~!Text!~ and ~!Tooltip!~ params do correctly populate Text and Tooltip properties of a Combo, I'm not able to pass a Dynamic Parameter (eg: ~!DisplayMember!~ to the param (Bound List) beyond the Combo. It's not translated into its actual value.Since the repeater is Dynamic, and the number of repetitions is variable (unknown at design time), I'm wondering how would be possible to parametrize a single Bound List Parameter, without having to duplicate it 10 times (limiting de facto the power of dynamic components).TIARegardsFabioG

As shocking as it may seem, someone has decided that we actually should delete data from OneStream. In this case, we've been instructed to retain a maximum of five years of data. Everything older than that must be expunged. Manual, painful, detailed steps aside: is there a good way to clear all old data that I just have never learned about because I have never actually worked with an org who was willing to let go of even one byte of information? I can manually delete the cube data with enough work (clear rules, consols, the odd custom rule or update to a member formula.) I can delete stage source data with even less work, though its still a bit tedious to click through a bunch of workflows. I haven't yet looked into how to delete stage target data; I'm hoping to find an easy solution but I'm also hoping someone will just tell me so I don't have to learn the hard way. What other data have I not even thought of yet? How do I get rid of it? Going forward, after we finish our yea

Hi All,I'm working with Line Item Modelling to implement workforce solution and trying Lookup drivers for one of the calculations. Lookup drivers doesn't seem to work at all. Has anyone tried and whether its working? The lookup driver that i defined doesn't fetch & return anything while using in calculation (formula) though it returns data while i preview it under Lookup drivers. Hi guys!I would like to know if there is a way to get a more detailed view of what is consuming disk space for each application within my environment.I understand that the System Diagnostics dashboard provides a report indicating how much space is allocated and how much is being used per application; however, I would like to know if there is a way to obtain a more detailed breakdown per application. Thanks!

Hi all,I've found a different behavior between 8 and 9 releases of OneStream, related to the "Change Workflow" POV Action on a ComboBox component.In a Dashboard I have 2 combo boxes with the ebove mentioned Action:Select Scenario => Set WFScenarioSelect Time => Set WFTimeIn rel 8, when I select values in the combo, things works as expected: the WF variables changes and I DON'T exit from my dashboard.In rel 9 (9.2.0.18004), whenever I change one of the combos, the current dashboard lose the focus and I get redirected to the Workflow page. Why this behavior has changed ? Does anyone know if we can assign an Input Mask to Text Box components? Using version 8.5.4, I have a few dashboards that make use of Text boxes for data collection and I don't see a way to assign an input mask to the text box. An input mask is a string expression that constrains input to support valid input values. If the text box is expecting a dollar amount, the input mask would format the entry as number format #,###.00.  For capturing a telephone number (North America format), the mask would be (000)000-0000. If this doesn't exist, can the dev team add this to future releases? Thanks, Cosimo

Hi,I'm trying to create dynamic members within a dimension using api.ReadDynamicDimensionInfo.I created a custom table within application database. When the service runs, it creates members under the root member even when I pass the "Parent" member's name. Also, the aggregation weight is being set to 0 even when I've passed numerical values.Table:Dimension Library: I want the members to be created under "All_Customers"Code:It works when I use - CreateAndAddrelationships but not with the api mentioned above. Am I doing something incorrect?
