Hello, I am looking to connect with folks who have implemented specialty cubes to manage data for sales, HR, Projects, Treasury, etc. We are exploring the capability of building a digital transformation roadmap using a cube approach, similar to how Essbase can be used. Hi,I wonder what's the difference between IsConsolidated member property and Aggregation Weight which is relationship property? When one's usually set IsConsolidated to False? I can imagine that it make sense for non-additive values (like KPI's), but I'd rather use for that Aggregation Weight, so not sure what for is that differentiation. Any tips, example use-cases?

OSAdmin If we have multiple OneStream Environments, is there any Market Place solution or a way we can compare Security (Users/Groups) between environments and then Synch up only those changes that are required to be migrated. Note: - We are aware of .xml extract and load, but a utility to perform the same would help and avoid any error related to security

We need to provide users the ability to review the error log within the system tab. I don't see anything in the Application>>Security Roles.  Can thjis be granted and how?

I need to use the same entity hierarchy in my second cube.  In my second cube "marketing" I need to use the same entity hierarchy that I'm using on the first cube "Business".  I need it because both cubes will be load entity information for the same company (same code) ,in additional the "Corpo" cube, If I want to have the total "spain" using this configuration I do not have it. Hi, I have an Extensibiity rule which uses the "Imports WinSCP" command as is used to connect to an SFTP server. The rule works fine.   I have just made a copy of the rule within the same application because I wanted to try and make some changes, with the only difference between the two being the name of the rule, but it seems the "Imports WinSCP" command is not recognized in the new extensibility rule, despite being recognized in the old one.   Any idea of what I could might be doing wrong?   Thank you  

Generic Error Connecting after Upgrade from 711 to 722. Followed same process used to Upgrade from 681 to 711. Had no issues during Upgrade to 711. Server 1: Web & App Server 2: App Server 3: SQL DB Backed everything up. Stopped AppPools. Uninstalled OneStream 711 from Web & App. Installed OneStream 722 on Web & App. Upgraded backend Framework & App DB. Updated ASP.NET Config File. Updated Web & App Config Files. Updated IIS. Restarted. Everything starts up. Can browse to the Web & App Server resource folders in IIS Manager. Had to enable 'Directory Browsing" for each first of course. Had to "Allow unlisted file name extensions" for 'Request Filtering' for Web. Onscreen error: Unable to connect to server using address 'http://web-server:50001/OneStreamWeb'. Hi All, Hope you are having a great time with OneStream! I am trying to provide only View Access to some users but it looks like I can't.  I have set for a specific user the User Type as View and assigned this user to the group "View Only". I then placed the group "View Only" to the Security Role "DimensionLibraryPage".  The user is only able to see the DimensionLibraryPage, but he can still delete members in the dimension library. Any idea what of what I am doing wrong? Is it actually feasible to provide view access only?   Thank you very much!  

Hi, Is there any option to restrict some of the users to post unbalanced journals ? we are able to restrict it in the journal templates. But we also want to restrict when user try to create by clicking on "Create Journal". Using the event Journal rules, we are able to restrict for all the users ( Including admin). Need the solution to limit this to section of users.   Thanks.    

I know that there is the comparison utility, however I would like to compare extensibility in a cubeview. I am looking for a Dynamic Calc which gives me True or False if an account is part of the SummaryAccounts (compare the SummaryAccounts with the DetailedAccounts)In the cubeview rows I will retrieve the A#DetailedAccounts.TreeDescendantsInclusive. In the columns I would like to have the dynamic calc which gives me true or false (in V#annotation) if part of the SummaryAccounts.The result should look like this:Somebody who already made/tried this? Hi All - Every time I upgrade OS I have 4-5 people that when they launch the OS shortcut it does not auto update.  They have to reinstall.   It seems to be the same people each time but I cant see anything special about them.   Has anyone run into this and figured out what the issue is?   Our latest upgrade is  to 7.1     Note:  I always have them close any open windows and then try shortcut.  They have also tried rebooting.   Any ideas? Hi All, I am trying data cell access security to block access to specific UD1 members. These are members that should only be visible by global people. I have applied this: For the UD1 filter, this is the filter: U1#Top, U1#G_HQONLYREC, U1#G_HQONLYADJ But, when I log in with a test user, who does not have the group mentioned in the data access security, I am still able to see data. We built only our different types of security (Data, WF, Access, Certify...) into Hierarchical structures. When using the SAR solution, it just lists all roles and does not say it is direct or indirect so for some users the list is very long.  This has our Auditor very confused and asking why they need all these different roles when they really only have say 4.  Anyway to run a report that would say this is direct (Parent Grps that Contain This User or Child Grps and Users) vs. indirect/Inherited (Parent Groups that Contain this Group).

All - I am working on Conditional Input rule and when I create a Finance rule & attach to the Cube business rule it is working but when I am trying to call the Finance rule or extender rule using DM job it is not locking the cell. Any idea? why it is not working? Any input is appreciated. I am taking a copy of an application to create a Sandbox for the users to test things. I have been using the document 'How to make a copy of a OneStream XF Application' which I found on ServiceNow. While the document explains how to take a copy it doesn't explain the options. I found I have to select the option 'Create a New Application Unique Id' when renaming the application: I can't find any reference to it in the 'Design and Reference' guide nor the Foundation handbook. I think it means that by renaming the application, you are creating a new application separate from the source application rather than simply changing the name of an existing application. I may have a requirement to filter a member list based on the project manager. Whenever data is loaded the PM assignment may change. I am thinking of potential ways to capture the current PM assignment, but don’t know if they are possible. Leverage a text field to input the project manager name.  Then use a variable like UserName or  UserText to create a member list. Is it possible to create a member list/parameter using |UserName| or UserText variables      U2#TotalProject.Base.Where(Text1 Contains |UserName|) Given the Text1 value on the project can change every time data is loaded, is there a way through a data load to update a text field? Load the PM into a data cell using the View member “Assumption” and None for most other dimensions.  Then trying to create a member list with logic..something like where Username=Assumption value of current period. This removes the need to update Text1.  If it could work, I think the evaluation time

We have several equity accounts with "USDOverride" entered for Text 1 in the "Vary by Scenario Type And Time" section of the member properties. Those accounts are not translating from local currency to USD.  Any ideas why that would be? Thanks!
