Even a simple globals.getObject("_ex") throws a object reference not found error. Is the use of the globals object prohibited inside a spreadsheet rule? The code: Error log when this spreadsheet rule is used: But if I comment out line number 24, the error log becomes:

Hi everyone, Is it possible to set a search/filter option in the combo box where user can type in the value and it will be picked up from the underlying list?  Alternatively, another component that can do it? I have tried using the tree view with search and filter option but it does not display anything if I use member list as bound parameter. Any other parameter type should be used specifically for tree view to work?

I have five cube views attached within a dashboard that utilizes the tabular layout. The content dashboard where the cube views sit is redrawn when a combo box is changed. However, the dashboard always redirects to the first tab. Only the content dashboard is set to redraw when the combo box is modified, and embedded dashboards are utilized to build up to the main dashboard. The goal is to change the combo box without redirecting the dashboard to the first tabbed report. Has anyone else seen this behavior and has a solution to redraw the dashboard with the new combo box selection while maintaining the current tabbed report displayed?

Hi, let's say I have a dimension with Member001 to Member020 being siblings. In a cube view I want to have rows with all members from Member001 to Member012. Using cube view designer, what's the syntax to specify the range, without having lo list all the 12 members? Thank you

I have over 15 years experience in Essbase and find it confusing that we have multiple 1Stream cubes in one 1Stream application - but they all share the same outline!! I think I understand 1S extensibility.Is there an article that explains the differences of Essbase vs 1Stream? I would like to suggest to 1Stream developers to show cube name somewhere when I open a workflow. I don't see a way to tell if that workflow is for which cube!! very confusing.  

Hi everyone, Can someone explain how the UD Member property "Is attribute member" works? I would like to assign to my UD5 members some attributes and be able to create CubeView base on the attributes. As an example, my UD5 could be Customers and the attribute I would like to assign to each Customer is the type of Customer (Retail, non-retail etc).  I thought I would use the "Text 1" property of my Customer members to input the type of costumers. I would then create a separate UD5 dimension "CustomerAttributes" and list all the attributes. Finally, enable the "Is attribute memeber" property of my "CustomerAttributes" dimension members and do a comparison between the value in the Text 1 of my Customer members and the value in the "Comparison Text 1"  of my attribute members.

What is the best way to design and implement constant fx rate analysis?  We want to apply a budget rate to all months for actual/fc/budget.  Entities are loaded in local currency and I thought it would be simple to use an entity hierarchy in which I'd put the custom rates at the parent level so during consolidation it would use the set fx rates.  Unfortunately this is not working as I had hoped, I'm not seeing a difference at the parent level between the "real" hierarchy and the constant rate hierarchy. Thank you.

Happy "end of forced masking" everyone!    Why can't we log in as user administrator recently? We get message "invalid user or password" Maybe Our user administrator is locked out due to too many attempts to login with invalid password. How do I unlock ? (ps. I read OS Design and Reference guide about enabling users - I see that user Administrator is enabled. 

Hi  We have set up a line of business attribute in our UD3 dimension based on cost centres. It has become clear that in several reports we need to aggregate some of these members. I think the easiest way to do this would be if we could introduce a new layer between the current parent and children. My questions are a) is it possible to do this and if so how? and b) how would this impact reports that are already in circulation? I have tried to illustrate what I'd like to do in the picture below. Hi all,   We've recently implemented RCM and I have one issue I'm trying to figure out. Certain accounting teams want to do reconciliations (for SOX controls) on certain accounts that have always had 0$ balances in the account month ends. I'm currently lost on how to get these into discovery - since it seems there has to be a balance at least one time for it to be populated there.   Is the a manual way to add a couple of all-time 0$ balance accounts that way there will be a reconciliation option for it?

We have 9 Windows on-premise servers. 1) How do I know Which one is our OneStream app server, Data Management server etc? 2) I am running Parcel services which writes to OneStream's C:\OneStreamShare\Fileshare\Applications\Will that write to OneStream's application server or DM server?  Parcel services kicks off a Data management job that exports files/reports to that C:\OneStreamShare\Fileshare\Applications\ folder. We are exporting batches of reports using "Parcel service" - each report is exported to a folder with "2022_March" in its name. At the beginning of April (and every month) I had to go into each report's path and manually change the path to "2022_April" of each output filename-report to reflect the new month.  I think the solution is to extract (export ) the Parcel reports parameters to XML file, change the paths manually, then re-import the new XML file. However, I exported all Dashboards and application - I was not able to find Parcel report parameters.Any idea where to extract them?We Clicked on System> Environment under the Tools menu. - Click on an App Server within the Application Server Sets menu. -On the Configuration tab, there is an entry for FileShareRootFolder; but that's not where the path is defined.

We are looking for ways to reduce the data unit size in one of our cubes in order to increase reporting performance without having to do a redesign.  We currently have +20k UD1's and +10k accounts in this cube and 16 years of historical data.  Would updating the "In use" tag to false for inactive accounts and UD1's reduce the data unit size and help improve data pulls and reporting performance for current years?  We aren't able to completely remove these accounts/UD1's because we are going back 16 years for historical purposes.

Account dimension member "In Use" property (Vary by Scenario Type and Time) set to Scenario Type = "Control" and Time to "2022M2", Stored value "False" However when I try to grab the InUse value via a BR it always returns "True"   Dim varyByScenarioTypeId As Integer = ScenarioDimHelper.GetIdFromName(si, "ActCon") Dim varyByTimeId As Integer = TimeDimHelper.GetIdFromName("2022M2") Dim boolInUse As Boolean = BRApi.Finance.Account.InUse(si, memberId, varyByScenarioTypeId, varyByTimeId)   But works fine if I set the Scenario Type = "Actual" or "Budget". Doesn't work if Scenario Type = "Control" Any ideas?
