Hello - we recently updated the stored values in the Percent Consolidation property in several large entity hierarchies, so there are 3 stored items with different time periods for each child. We found today that when we pull data using a YTD view, whether in the Excel add on or a cube view within the Windows application, the consolidated numbers on the parent do not match the children when the latest stored value is applied to the child data. However, we did find when the view is changed to Periodic the consolidated parent data matches the product of the child data and the current Percent Consolidation. Is this issue related to the Consolidation View on our Actual scenario? Its currently set to Periodic. If this helps, our Consolidation Algorithm Type is Standard.

Hi All,Ive got a problem with transformation/load cube workflow steps in our build, It has been in our applications for over six months (an older dev application has the same problem). This error doesn't seem to cause a problem in our data although may affect a dimension we put into our application for future use, I want to isolate it regardless. The error is an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object error" and doesn't actually stop the workflow step from completing, making it difficult to track exactly what is going wrong. It also doesn't flag when compiling all business rules being only apparent whilst running the rule. This error occurs on all the load/retransform steps I have tested although that doesn't help much as a lot of our transformation rules overlap.Id really like to know if there is a way of viewing which business rule is failing on running these processes but cannot fathom how, is there a way to do this? Thanks,Tom 

I have been trying to give a couple of our users access to the Database Page in the System Pane. I created a new security group named DatabasePageAccess (and SystemPaneAccess) and add another security group and 2 specific users to this new group. I then changed the security group on the System Security Roles for the DatabasePage System User Interface Role to "DatabasePageAccess" and SystemPane to SystemPaneAccess. Asked the 2 users to test it out. They were able to see the System Pane now but cannot see the Database page still. I have been going in circles and cannot reason why they cannot see the database page when I seem to have done it all correctly. Has anyone else ever seen this?System Security Roles Screenshot from User (does not show the Database page as an option)  

I set up a Hybrid Scenario with a Data Binding Type of "Copy Input Data from Source Scenario." I tried following the example in the Design and Reference Guide (below) for the Origin dimension, where the properties are as follows:      - Member Filters to Exclude: O#Top.DescendantsInclusive      - Pre-aggregated Members: O#Top=O#Import     When force consolidating, I get data in both O#Import and O#Elimination, but O#Top for my source scenario and hybrid scenario agree. Is there any way to only copy data into O#Import? As a side note, if I change Pre-aggregated Members to O#Top=O#Elimination, I only get data in O#Elimination. Thanks! Molly  

Dear Team,I'm trying to check if value of a specific column is <> 0, if isn't I would like to inform user by some kind of Message Box.I was trying to use SaveDataEventHandler, but the issue is this value is not inputted by user - it's calculated by UD8.Do you think there's any another possibility? Thanks a lot! 

We worked with OneStream to set the Inactivity Threshold to 90 days but discovered inactive users are not automatically Disabled after 90 days - only flagged as 0 days of "Remaining Allowed Inactivity".  I'm assuming we could create a Business Rule or some other process that could query OneStream security data within the system to confirm users who meet the "Remaining Allowed Inactivity" = "0 Days" criteria.  Manual review could work as well but not preferred.Any suggestions on how this could be automated in OneStream?Thanks in advance.

I am going through the process of making an application multi-language. There is one area that I cannot work out and it is an important element: Certification Questions. I am using XFStrings to hold the translated text and this is then used on Cube Views, Dashboards, Confirmation Rules etc. Certification Questions do not execute the XFString function and there is no event I can find for building the Certification Questions form. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello, we are working on a constant currency Actuals scenario that will be using alternate FX rates and are in the process of testing a Hybrid Scenario with the 'Copy Input Data From Source Scenario' setting.  We are running the data copy with a 'Force Calculate' Data Management Step using the 'Execute Scenario Hybrid Source Data Copy' setting.  We have found that after resetting the hybrid scenario, the first run of the copy step is taking around 50 minutes to complete, but subsequent copies are only taking 7 minutes.  Is this expected with a hybrid scenario copy?

Hello, our client wants to have the option to use OneStrem in Turkish for some users. I know that using culture settings we can add descriptions for different languages to the members. What I am actually looking for to change the application language meaning the options buttons, anything on the user interface. Thanks

We in the process of data validation and are constantly getting  "Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown." I know in hyperion we should change the time out.  Is there something similar we can do with onestream?

 Seeking to improve efficiency for user management and security/audit review processes. The OneStream application is accurately showing the user assignments but it's only available in the OneStream application itself and the GUI is not very flexible in viewing the out of the box forms. We have already installed the marketplace solution "Security Audit Reports" which improved our capabilities through a user dashboard and different reports with user details, but it is also only in the OneStream application GUI. As a workaround we have been using the Load/Extract option to pull an XML file and manipulate in Excel. 

Hello, For Planning we use a scenario of type Model, on this scenario I do not find why consolidation on Revenue accounts is not working. The translation is working, but it does not aggregate or consolidate to group level. For accounts of type Flow (for volumes) it does work. Setting on the account is: Is Consolidated (Regardless of Formula Type), no formula is active on the account. Apart from that it happens also on asset accounts. I checked the Business Rule for consolidation, but couldn't find anything related to scenario or account. Any hints where I could look would be much appreciated. Kind regards Ben  

New install of 7.3.1.WebServer on one machine.  AppServer on another.When I attempt to access any of the WebServer pages, I am prompted with a very odd login page.The only fields on this page are a missing header_logo,  username/password fields and a login button.I tried to log in with the default Administrator password and it says "The password was reset and needs to be changed."  I have not logged in to OneStream yet, so the default password should not have changed.Since I cannot access OneStream, I am not able to reset the password.I have no idea where to start looking to resolve this one.Any help would be appreciated.Raymond

How to install the Golfstream demo application on cloud? I have downloaded the GolfStream65 references material from MarketPlace. After unzip it, it was some .mdf and .ndf files. Since I'm on the cloud version, I am not able to access to the server. What is the possible way to install the Golfstream demo on cloud version?

My client is using the 7.2.3.14520 server and getting an error message that says:Unable to log on User ''.  Your client XF version '7.2.14520' is incompatible with the XF server version '7.2.2.14307'.We get that error message when using the URL or the (7.2.3..14520) Windows client.  Same error. We are able to click through and login.Any ideas?

How does fragmentation on the OneStream Datarecord tables impact performance? I have an application with a lot of tables having fragmentation > 90%, but how big of an impact does this have on performance? Or do the Datarecord tables/logic/databuffer work in a different way? Any knowledge/experience on this?   Cheers Frank

Hello Everyone, I need to rename a few entities as user provided incorrect names. They loaded data already and I am wondering what are exact implications of renaming them now. I tested renaming and I can see that drill down to the source data is not possible I found another topic on this forum and I cannot find any other implication other than with drill down >>> Entity Name Changes - OneStream Community (onestreamsoftware.com) I did not find anything in documentation Can anyone confirm that this is the only implication of renaming dimension member? That drill down to the source is no longer working? Of course I know that if those entity names were used in cube views, business rules, formulas, etc., then I need to adjust them (but thankfully this is not the case here).   Kind regardsJarek

Hi everyone. I am looking for some assistance with using data buffers for a revenue planning form. Essentially, budgeted revenue growth percentages will be input individually for each brand by month. The total PY Actual revenue for each brand by month will be loaded into OneStream. The formula to forecast budget is:CY Budget = PYAct * (1 + Growth % / 100) While I can calculate each CY Budget cell individually for each brand by month, this would be a tedious and very long process since there are 26 brands and 12 months, which would require 312 individual calculations. I would like to use a data buffer instead to calculate CY Budget by looping through each brand (and across all months from Jan 2022 to Dec 2022). However, I am unsure of how to do this and would appreciate guidance. For ease of reference, I have also attached a screenshot of my cube view.
