1. Why is the "Total number of stored records" same across all months for one year ?  

Hi All,   I have created new Transformation Group and Profile ,If i try to link my group with Profile by using "Manage profile Members" icon i am not able to see the group name in the Available Groups list. Do we need to change any settings for that? Can anyone suggest?   Thanks, Dhanitha.

Hi, We will be setting up tables using Table Data Manager to store some filtered extract of application data. My question is how can on-prem folks access these tables? We were wondering whether we should just use on-prem database and use BR to extract the data to those on-prem tables. But this means we have to rely on IT to maintain those staging tables and access.  I prefer keeping the tables in Onestream app and give access to those tables. Thank you, Mikki

Hi, I'm getting this error on different applications in my OS instance. Apologies if it is not relevant to this forum.

Happy Feb! how do I sync Prod with DEV ? We made a lot of changes to DEV over the past 5 months - but didn't upload all of our changes.  We are thinking of exporting a complete extract of metadata, Cubeviews, dashboards, datamanagement, DataSources to xml from DEV - then delete all metadata, Cubeviews, dashboards, datamanagement, DataSources before uploading our extract to PROD?  Both servers are in different physical locations and therefore have different firewalls. Is there an article regarding life-cycle management for OneStream ?  

We have a requirement for ALL users that log in, to acknowledge a set of system messages before gaining access to the application.  Other off the shelf applications have this capability built-in.  If it does not exist in OneStream, would the best approach be to create a dashboard and make that the home page for all users?

Hello,We need to create bulk users to perform stress test.We tried to use the suggested solution in the post Solved: Re: Issue with bulk native user creation using internal authentication. - OneStream Community (onestreamsoftware.com), by removing the line <encryptedPassword> in the XML file, in order to have the default password, without success.We would like to provide directly a different password to each user (even if he will have to change it afterwards).What are the best practices to perform it ?Thanks,Regards,Harry 

Hello All, We have a requirement to make some text display dynamically showing or not based on whether the entity member selected in a combo box is a base member or a parent. In my XFBR, I found this function that would give me this information but when I set it up, it returns me false, whereas in some cases, the entity selected had children (so is a parent). "Dim IsParent As Boolean = BRApi.Finance.Entity.HasChildren(si, EntitydimPk, SelectedEntityID, Nothing)" Could you let me know where my function's set up could be wrong or also if you would propose to use an other solution to achieve this requirement ? Thank you

When OS call an authentification API, OS use the IMPLICIT parameter. This parameter is deprecated since 2 years. When are you going to update these calls with the new standards?

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had experience adding cultures to an applicaiton after go-live. Considering this is a system wide change its difficult to test without applying across all applications. I'm wondering if the statement in the attached screenshot "impact overall environment or application performance" would be applicable to adding new cultures.  Looking forward to hearing from you all. The default length of visible line items for comboboxes seems to be eight. Is it possible to change this to larger numbers? Often there is more space on the screen and this would help avoid unnecessary scrolling. Thanks! (example from GolfStream App)    

Hi, my Entity dimension has a main hierarchy with TopMemberA being the top member, and an alternative hierarchy with TopMemberB as top member. It looks like this:   TopMemberA - ParentA1 -- Entity1 -- Entity2 - ParentA2 -- Entity3 -- Entity4 TopMemberB - ParentB1 -- Entity1 -- Entity3 - ParentB2 -- Entity2 -- Entity4   The issue I have is that whenever I consolidate TopMemberA the status of TopMemberB changes to CN, and vice versa consolidation TopMemberB changes the status of TopMemberA changes to CN. I don't see why consolidating one branch of the hierarchy should change the status of an alternative hierarchy. Did anybody else notice this? How have you solved it?   Thank you  

Hi All,I am wondering if anyone has an opinion on using slice security for specific UD3 level security vs. using a Finance Business Rule to control access to certain UD3 members.  Basically, I am looking to say if a user is in a certain security group, they should not be able to write data to certain UD3 members.  I believe it can easily be written using slice security (Cube Data Access Security) or with a conditional input FBR (if user in g.  I see an advantage to not having to update every entity with turning the Data Access Security to True and potentially adding categories vs with a BR, just writing a rule that doesn't touch metadata.  I tend to typically try to avoid 'touching' existing metadata if I don't have to especially when adding in a Planning Cube next to a pre-existing and well established Consolidation Cube.  Does anyone know if there is any real pro/con to either approach other than less updating of metadata which I mention above?  Would pe

Hi all, When I come into the marketplace to start evaulating when I should do my next software update, I see that there is a dropdown in the platform area that shows 7.1.3, 7.2.1/2/3, 7.3.0/1. I'm updating from 7.0.1 and would like to access 7.1.1/2 even though they are minor hotfixes, they should still be available for completeness? Maybe they're available somewhere else? Hi, Is there a way to modify the OneStream banner at the very top of both the login screen and the application window where the OneStream Logo could be replaced with a customer logo or anything else?  I know we can add text to the banner via the Application Config file, but I was wondering if there was a way to eliminate our logo in place of something else.  One of our military customers is asking this question.   Thanks, Ed Wright

Hello fellow OneStreamers, I have a burning question that I need to get insight for in regard to environment care. We have a cloud instance of OneStream and have multiple apps on our prod environment. We would like to have a good overview of the app sizes, perhaps in a nice dashboard, so that we can preempt our need to order more storage space and prepare our release schedule. Is anyone using or has developed anything like that? Currently we have to send a ticket to the help desk to know the app sizes and would prefer to have in in our-hands more on demand to plan. Hello! As a EssBase previous user, do you know if it's possible to navigate without data or at least positionning row and colums dimansions without a refresh and once all is done proceed to the refresh. Because  sometimes when it makes 4 minutes to refresh a cubeview and I have to move at least 5 axis to column or row, it takes 5 x 4 minutes Thank you in advance.

Hi,  There seems to be an issue when pulling members through GridView from the dimension library.  As shown in the screen shot below, when filtering on a specific roll up within the dimension using the parent child relationship reference the report includes duplicate members. This is because OS is pulling all the alternate roll up locations as well. We are wanting to pull just the main rollup so that we can see the members and parents in separate columns within excel. Does anyone know how to get around this or another way to pull this data from OneStream.        

When creating a loadable xml format for bulk user creation using internal authentication, we face issue while signing in using the created users (the password encryption and decryption might have caused it)Is there any way out to solve this?For eg. : We created a user TestOS with password as Welcome1 using xml, but when this user tries to log in using the same credential, the user faces sign-in issues.

Hi the community! Do you know the way to proceed to retriev in a cubeview a specific UD where the text of it is set on a specific value? For example I want at the finest level all my UD1 which contain as a Text4 "Long_Lines" I write this as a formula : U1#Shipping_Trade.Children.Where(Text4=Long_Lines) But nothing appears as a result. Did I missed something? Thank you.

Is there a good resource that people use to explain what is contained in each version of OneStream. I read the release notes but I am looking for perhaps a good blog to help explain these features in detail. I typically meet with our Finance users before we upgrade to let them know any features that may be useful to them.
