Hello, If I wanted to build out a driver based forecast in OneStream, are their any trainings or webinars that can explain that process? 

1. I am trying to export as trx for the derivative rule with a business rule in it. 1a. Once it exports, the exported file doesnt have the business rule name in it. (OR)2. Exported the rule as xml via application export and then opened it in the excel file as XM table. However, once i add rows below it and then try to export the file -> It says cannot export.   How to insert multiple lines in the excel and get tehm exported as xml for onestream input ?  

Hi, I have a matrix data source matrixed on Account.  Sample below.  One of the Account fields is a Date that I need to convert to a Long to store.  I can do the conversion but not sure how to target the value to convert when in a matrixed data source. I am trying to create a Cube View that has 2 GetDataCell formulas.  The formulas work separately but if I add them both to the same Cube View, one will not work.  I am using XFBR in Columns (Time) and GetDataCell in Rows (Accounts).  Is there a way both formulas will work in the same Cube View?      

I'm trying to load a file that has data in multiple columns like below.I have created the data source with a Data Type as Matrix DataKey and created source Time Dimensions for 12 months as stated in the screenshot. But when I try to load the data, I get the below error every time. I have already created transformation rules for Scenario and time as below and not sure what else I'm missing here. I’ve noticed in working with the newer versions (that have Workspaces), that the SetLiteralParameterValue seems to only work on literal parameters in the default workspace.  However, I’m unsure if this is a bug or if this is by design.   My understanding from I saw at the Wave Conference was that Workspaces were intended to be used for better grouping of solutions, versioning, and development.  Currently, they support the creation of identically named parameters in multiple workspaces.  If you’re attempting to update a literal param in a specific workspace… is that even possible?  If not, are all active solutions intended to be in the Default workspace only?  Could someone please advise on the intended usage of Workspaces?

I am trying to use a dashboard button to Select All and Unselect All values in a Multiselect Combo-box which I am passing to a Spreadsheet (TableView) business rule. We are in cloud OneStream environment and our retention policy for Non Production is 7 days and Production 365 days ( I think ). Restore from backup does whole environment restore and not application by application. We have multiple application including PLP and I was wondering if anybody has figure out way to restore application.Any help or procedure or steps are apricated.Saurin Patel*migrated from champions

Has anyone worked yet with workspaces (loading/ extracting) using a .xfproj file?  I am trying to moved a dashboard maintenance unit (DMU) out of the default workspace into a new one.  However, when I export my .xfproj file (pre-7.3), remove the DMU from default, and load the .xfproj file back in I do not see it loading to the new workspace I created.  Is there something in the .xfproj file that needs added to accumadate workpsaces in 7.3?

Hi All,We're running into a few problems with an existing BR that is used to change the state of the current workflow. We would like to combine two of our cubes into one.  Some of the UD dimensions will change in the new combined cube.  Is it best to start with a new application?  Any suggestions?

When using a Parameter to specify a member in a CubeView, how do I specify which Workspace the Parameter is in?

Hi Community, We have a few scheduled calcs and consolidations running on an hourly basis, and sometimes these start queuing up and cause other DM jobs to fail/get cancelled by the system. Is there any good way to monitor or alert the admins via email if there are more than a few DM jobs getting queued up? We already have a scheduled task which queries the TaskActivity table for any failed jobs periodically and then sends out an email to the admins to address them. But this idea doesn't work for the Queued Jobs as this DM also gets "Queued" along with the others.   Thanks, Sudarshan

I have heard that Onestream supports ad-hoc queries and reporting. But I haven't yet found an easy way to send ad-hoc queries to our OneStream cubes. I'm searching for some sort of query interface like SQL, MDX, or DAX.   So far I've discovered that there is a REST API which allows me to retrieve data from an existing "cubeview". This is a helpful API for extracting data programmatically. But this certainly isn't considered "ad-hoc" since it requires that a cubeview be prepared and deployed in advance. I had also seen that the REST API supports SQL statements but I have been warned against using those; since it circumvents the logical definitions of the cube, and these queries might become fragile and break over time (eg. after future upgrades to the onestream platform). Besides those two options, what mechanism is available to send "ad-hoc" queries to OneStream, and immediately retrieve the results. How do others manage User Names in their applications? We were advised to use FirstName LastName as the user name, the Description field is not used (screen shot below). We have single sign on enabled which uses AzureSSO and the employees 5 digit number assigned by IT.   We have several name changes that we have held off on making in our application.  Our application includes a custom compensation model that also leverages the User Name and a separate security model within that module.  We can replicate the name change in the comp model and test;  however we are concerned about other implications that we have not considered. Our implementation partner highly cautioned us from renaming metadata.    I fully appreciate the complexities with Entity or Account metadata name changes;  however in this User Name metadata, the implications seem small (historical logs will have the old name pre change and new name post change, possibly an impact to their f

Hello, I am trying to create a FX Scenario - Acutuals at Prior Year Rate. I know i can use Constant Year For FX Rate and assign the year from which OneStream will pick Actuals rate in this case. But i dont want the user to be changing this property every year. My approach is to set "Translation Algorithm Type" to "Standard Using Business Rules For FX Rates" and create a custom translation for that specific scenario "Actuals at Prior Year Rate".  Does anyone has the logic to translate the scenario using Actual Exchange rate tables switching one year back from the POV being translated?

Hi, I have an application DB table with a date column and I am using the LoadCustomTableUsingDelimitedFile function to load a CSV file to the table. The xfDateTime# token is assigned to the column in the LoadCustomTableUsingDelimitedFile  function. The dates in the CSV file are in the dd-mm-yyyy format. However, the LoadCustomTableUsingDelimitedFile function assume the dates are in the mm-dd-yyyy format. Data is loaded but when querying the table using the Month() SQL function for example, the day is return instead. Is there a way to make sure LoadCustomTableUsingDelimitedFile  knows the date column in the data file is in the dd-mm-yyyy format? Thank you
