Hello all, Hoping you may share some thoughts on this. For the workflow, we have created security groups : 1. for input users (WF_Preparer) assigned to the Workflow steps in the Workflow execution Group  2. review users (WF_Review) assigned on the Workflow profile in the Workflow execution Group and Certification Sign-off Group. The preparers and reviewer users are, of course, different. However, as mistakes can happen, is there any possibility to prevent an Admin to assign the same user in both groups? Can the system issue an error or a message when trying to add a user to one role if it already exists in the other? Thank you!      

We use Text3 property of UD1 members to save Status of the member (member is a change request). We are having an issue with this approach. When we create a new member, we set its Text3 property for scenario type and Time to "Draft". If we change the value to some other status via rule or manually, it saves it fine. When we create a new member or update an existing UD1 member (any change in member properties) the value of all existing members reverts back to "Draft". Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue. We are using 7.2.4 version.

I am using OneStream dashboards and have set up a pivot grid. On desktop, I have configured a default layout for the pivot grid, which works as expected. However, when I access the same dashboard through the browser UX, the default layout does not apply. I have tried clearing the browser cache, but the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this issue before, or can provide insights into why the default layout is not being applied in the browser UX?  Additionally, on Desktop, the pivot gris appears in classic format. On UX, it comes as a hierarchy. Can we default to use classic format on browser UX?   On Desktop: On Browser UX:

Hi OS Experts: While I am running the ForceConsolidation in cube view, I am getting the below error message. Are there any possibilities of this error: Error calculating member 'EndBal_Calc' in dimension 'Flows'. Unable to execute formula for member 'EndBal_Calc'. Invalid script 'A#NET:F#EndBal:V#YTD:O#Top:I#Top:U1#USACAP:U2#TOT_DEPT:U3#TOT_PROJ:U8#None:E#' near 'E# I am checking the EndBal_Calc in flow dimension the calculation has been working from many years correctly but this time the strange issue. any suggestion. I see the similar error for the different entities' different runs.

Hello, We have a cube view with a couple hundred rows, when in the designer view it is hard to find the row we want to edit since it reads the row number vs member info. I know it's possible to update the name but that would be tedious to do one by one. Is there a setting or rule that would override the row name to equal the member number/name/description? For example "Row192" would read "LE30102" or the actual description.  Thank you in advance! Rana

Hi there, we are trying to figure out a way of collecting capex project information in OS inside a user friendly form (not capital planning register). Wonder if anyone else is doing it and how you are accomplishing this? Trying to figure out how to allow users to enter project number and name without creating metadata for each project in one of the dimensions ahead of time or if there is an easy way to accomplish this. The information we need to collect is really minimal, number, name, description, amount per year and a classification in one of three buckets.

Hello, Is there a way to allow a group of users to quick post journals under a certain threshold amount, but if higher than the threshold the journal needs approval? I used a rule previously that will reject the journal if the user attempts to quick post above a certain amount, but then I can't figure out how the next step would be for X group to go in and approve it for them?   Thanks!

When building a Data Source bound to a Connector business rule, if a need arises to use a Complex Expression, and that expression requires referencing several unbound fields, what is the proper statement to use to retrieve those field values in the expression? I had been told to use the args.Line.Split function. For example, if I needed the Entity field in the data set, and Entity was the 10th field in the list, the expression would be: Dim entity As String = args.Line.Split(",")(9)The "9" is used instead of "10" because the zero-base index.I'm finding this args.Line.Split statement does not work properly if the field value contains a comma. The field imports correctly into the data set, but the args.Line.Split statement cannot differentiate a comma delimiter from one embedded in the field value and it ends up returning the wrong field. Is there another statement that can be used in Connector based Data Sources to reference fields in complex expressions?  

Hi All: I have ran the workflow to copy the Actuals to Forecast and the data got copied over successfully. while validating the balance sheet for the certain IC plug accounts, Etiquity accounts the data is not matching Actuals versus Forecast. For example, the below.   I narrow down to the issue, I can see that the difference coming from historical override adjustment and beginning balance. I am not quite sure how to narrow down further to fix this issue, any leads/suggestion to check on this to fix?

Hi!    Ok here is my data:  Here is my data sources: Here is my application properties: If I have Global DataKey Scenario on for both Scenario and Time in Data Sources, why am I getting this error message: No valid DataKeys (Scenario / Time) found in data source. Review the source data load processing log and check one-to-one transformation rules to ensure that you have created proper Scenario and Time dimension rules for this data source When I try uploading? Does anyone know if I need a transformation rule and what that would be? Thank you!

Hi,   I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to configure my OneStream app against an azure AD. I have created an Azure AD and followed the steps that are in OS documentation. However when I try to login with my email which is configured against my Azure SSO I get a message "The external provider authentication provider settings in the XF Application Server Configuration file are invalid". My OS app is a local installation on my machine. Many thanks !

How do you add a data key to a OneStream application?

Hello, Here is an example of what we are trying. We have set the close dates and created a task in task manager which has a data management sequence as action and the start hour.  Does Task manager run the data management task as per the start hour given? The Auto execute option runs the task when the task is approved but we are trying to run the task at the scheduled time using task manager. Thanks in advance!
