Workflow and Data Integration

I created Journal template in excel and tried loading via workflow. when I select it through  ,it goes through but nothing happens, meaning it does not get data populated to post it. It does not give any error either. attached is journal Thanks,  

We are trying to "Load Cube" data for a workflow named "WF_Historical_TBReport" and are getting an error message when the procedure finishes.  As you can see, the error message references a different workflow profile all together ("WF_R12_DataLoad").  The  "WF_Historical_TBReport" workflow profile has the "Can Load Unrelated Entities" field set to "True", so we don't believe it is a access issue.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions! 

Hi All,Can we build a transformation rule with a logic that if the target of lets say UD4 is 'xxxx' and source Account number is 'yyyy' then UD3 gets mapped to a particular code?To simplify- Need to look at Target for UD4 and Source for Account to map to a specific UD3.Thanks.

Acceptance Criteria: Definition of fixed, expected behaviour I created this enhancement request with 1Stream - do you agree with me ?  Do you have any suggestions to improve 1Stream design? Presently, we have to create workflows under OnePlace > under cubes. That does not make sense as a workflow can update different cubes and report from different cubes.Why not remove this Workflow hierarchy under Cubes?  Instead,  give us a new Workflow explorer- where we can customize our own folders to contain Workflows. For example, one folder for Planning WF, one for Budgeting.

I need to build a button where with a single a DM Sequence with multiple steps as well as a Dashboard Extender rule runs.I earlier thought that we can have a Execute Business Rule Data Management Step as one of the steps within the sequence but I wasn't able to find Dashboard Extender Rules within that.Can any of how guide on how that can be done? Thanks.

Hi All,So I copied scenario using the Data Management Job and using the below Custom Calculate Rule:Api.Data.Calculate("S#ScenarioType1:O#Import:V#Periodic = S#Actual:O#Top:V#Periodic")Now whenever I am running a consolidation for ScenarioType1 at the parent level, all the values within the base is getting removed and neither is the parent populated. Can anyone help me with incorrect step am I doing?

Hi all,I would ask your help on this topic.I would like to develop a workflow in which the requested steps are different from month to month.The goal is to have a basic input package for all months plus additional steps required only during the quarter closing periods (MAR, JUN,SEP and DEC). Hello OneStreamers,I've just upgraded to version 7.1.1 and noticed some unfamiliar messages popping up in the Error Log:Summary: OneStreamRelay Service startup has Disabled!.Summary: Smart Integration Connector Service is disabled.I've checked the release notes and reference guide and couldn't find any topics related to these services. Hello,is there a way to automate the creation of form template assigning the same name of the cube view?I have 30 disclosure forms to be added in a "form profile" and I am wondering if there is an alternative way of manually creating a "form template" for each "cube view". Thanks in advance for the help.Marcello 

Hello,I haven't yet found how to extract at once, all the Workflow Profiles for all entities for a single task.For instance, I need to extract the "import XLS" task for all entities, and not select the WF Profiles task entity by entity.In the module Load/Extract, it does not seem possible.Do you know how to do it ?Thanks,Regards,Harry

In our people planning when you hit Complete on the Workspace it automatically goes through the Import, validate, Load steps.  Is there any way to do this when you start with Import, Forms or Journals and have it only stop if there is an error?  It would be much nicer if the user could kick it off and go do something else and have it be done when they get back.

Hi I want my UD3 value to be None for all BS and Revenue Accounts and then only look to the department to the 1:1 mapping if it is an expense.   I created composite rules that have for an example the expression A#[1*]:UD3#[*] with an order of zero and then the 1:1 mappings with the order of one but it still finds the 1:1 rule first.    Does the order only work within the Type and they always trigger 1:1 types first?  If that is the case an recommendations?  PS we are currently doing this in the data source but we run into a problem when we have a new account that they have to reupload the file again so that it knows what the account mapping is.  I figured if I put it in the UD3 transformation that the account transformation would have already happened.Thanks in advance!

HI I am trying to automate a data extract process to send data from OneStream to another system eg Anaplan. I have a data Mgmt job to Export the data to a CSV on the file share. I now want to move that CSV file from the file share to say my desktop for example (or any other file storage place). Has anyone done any routine like that? If so is there any BR in OneStream that can be used for that. I havent done this before but sure others may have come across this so just wondered what the best approach would be. Thanks!Tahir

when down load excel add in 6.3 it shows as OneStream XF in tool bar. Once you open you excel workbook with data, the data will not show unless you disable the Excel add in from COM Add-ins. can some advise how to fix the issue?

We have an issue where in an excel template when opened by few users the formulae doesn't work as expected They get  _xlfn ._xlws prefix before the functions which is because workbook contains a function that is not supported in the version of Excel that they are currently running Excel version used on the users machine is 2016 and according to onestream this is a compatible version with 7.0.1  Error screenshot below, let me know if anyone ran into similar issue This is not an issue when the same template is opened using excel part of office 365  

Hi all,I'm having an issue whereby I'm importing profit and loss actual's data via a csv file into one of the data upload workflow steps we have set up.However some of the data is being loaded into months it shouldn't be, even though on the in the csv file the data is pointing to the correct time period.So for example in the upload file, data is put against time periods such as 2023M1, 2023M2 etc. Having imported the data, validated it and loaded it to the reporting cube we have, some of the data is being loaded into 2023M1 and also 2023M2, when on the upload file it's only on there once against 2023M1.I've checked the transformation rules and everything is set up correctly in terms of translating the import file, so I was wondering if anyone has come across this type of issue before or if anyone has any advice as to where I could look next?I'm pretty new to OneStream so any help would be much appreciated.Thanks,Ged

Hi all,I have an issue whereby I'm loading our company actuals into OneStream, but if a General Ledger code has no data in it but had data in previous months, I think OneStream assumes the YTD value to be zero and so the opposite total of the previous months is being loaded.So for example the YTD total of repairs & maintenance may be £100 at Apr-22, and in May-22 there are no further transactions so the YTD position is still £100. However as no transactions occurred in May, when the data is loaded      -£100 appears in May.I've checked the DateSource and TransformationRules we have set up, I cant see a reason why this would be happening as it's all set up as 'Periodic', and so only the data from the initial load should be include.Does anyone have any ideas as to where the problem my lie, or where I could look to try and see why this is happening?Many thanks,Ged

Hi,I have persistent derived figures in some calculated accounts that I cannot delete.My account is set with ZeroViewFoNonAdj = YTD, but for some reason the derived figures still appear in Grey in my Cube View:Is there an soft way to clear or reset this (except a Clear/ reset scenario) ?Thank you.Aurélien 

Hi All,We're currently trying to map IC relationships in the transformation rules where the source data doesn't contain this field. We can map this based on the GL account from the ERP system but just unsure on how to do this in OneStream. Essentially we'd like to use 1-1 mapping but based a different column other than the IC in the source, is this possible?Thanks,

We have a bunch of related party accounts that need to equal other locations within the company similar to intercompany. It would be nice if this can be added to the IC matching table that is on the workflow. I do not want these to eliminate but have visibility to the locations that these accounts are out of balance. Has anyone dealt with something similar to this and if so how do you go about it?

Hi All -    I am attempting to export Stage Data through a Data Management Job using a Business Rule. The customer is hoping to remove some columns from the export and filter down the data by selecting Entity & UD1 prior to the export. Has anyone ever modified the data export sequence extender rule?     Thanks, Emily
