Hi All, Working with a dialog box with 3 parameters that are being used in a business rule later on. I want the parameters on dashboard load to always show the first value in my delimited list. Right now it always saved my previous selection. I have tried to set "Default Value" in the parameter itself, that dosen't work, guess it is only working on first load? I have tried to run a Dashboard extender BR like below to set param values on load of dashboard, but it dosen't overwrite my previous selection.: Only thing that have worked this far is to set a bound parameter with a set value on my button that opens my dialog box. However it seems to only let me add one bound parameter, I have 3.    Anyone having any advice how I can set one value from my delimited list to always appear when loading my dialog box. 

I've got a Tree View component which is populated via code in an Assembly.It currently displays all the members for a selected dimension but will can only show those members that a user has access to.The tool that is a part of is indented for cross group use so it would be useful for users to see all the members available, not just the ones that they have access to. It's purely a visual aid, not for data viewing.Can anyone advise if this is possible and what I'd have to do to enable it?Thank you in advance :-)Craig

Hello All, I have a Cube View that I want to use as data source for a BI VIewer object. When I execute this CV, I can see data: When I use this (basic) CV as MD in data adapter, it is empty. I checked the set up steps in the doc and I can't see what I could have missed.   Would you have any ideas why the result table doesn't return values that I can see in my Cube View ? Hello to everyone. Does anyone know how to build in Excel Add-ins for Task Manager? Our OneStream version is 8.2.2.16127? Guidance for this version provides the step-by-step instructions how to set up Add-ins for Word and PowerPoint, but not for Excel Add-ins.  Our Task Manager version is PV800 SV100. If to be very specific, we are looking for the opportunity to install Excel Add-Ins to link the preparation status from excel file to particular task in Task Manager. For example, if we have the excel file somewhere outside OneStream (on Sharepoint), and when the work done inside this file, we can push built-in "Complete" button in this file. The completion status from this file automatically forces the change in the preparation status in Task Manager for this task, which is linked to this file through the action type functionality in Task Manager.  Does it sound real? Was able to "Process Cube" for October and November... in attempting to close a form for December (1Q) - now receiving this error message. The Entity Assignments and Calculation Definitions on the Workflow Profile are the same as they've ever been. Is it normal for certain security settings to be "reset" when a copy of production is made to dev? Every time we make a copy of production into the development environment certain security fields within Security Roles, Entity dimension, Scenario dimension, Workflow Profiles and Data Management Groups are set to "(Not Found)" instead of the correct security group.  Is this normal? If so, what's the easiest way to update this? Thanks!

Hi all,I'm quite new in OS and, as a Dev, I'm writing some code in Assemblies/Business Rules.I'm experiencing an issue with Intellisense.While I'm working from inside a class, I can see all the hints supplied by intellisense for all the Standard/OS Classes/Methods and for the Methods inside my current class.Unfortunately I cannot see hints for my other custom classes/methods that I wrote under the same assembly/namespace (they are correctly referenced, the assembly is compiled)I tried adding triple-slash comments, but - again - no luck.Just wondering if there's something I should do to make intellisense works or if I stumbled in a platform's limit.Thanks in Advance for Your precious helpFabioG

Hi, I have a SQL table with a decimal column that allows nulls, and I want to differentiate between an actual 0 and a null value.I seem unable to configure the SQL Table Editor in a way that enables me to save a null value. When I press Insert new row, it defaults to an amount of 0.0, instead of null. I am aware that I can do a dashboard extender and override the save operation but in this case the column value could be either 0 or null and I wouldn't know how to differentiate between the two. Any ideas? 

Hi everyone, I have to do some systems diagnostics but I cannot run the dashboard because there is an error in the business rule "OSD_SolutionHelper". This business rule does not compile due to an error in line 4882Dim computer As New Microsoft.VisualBasic.Devices.Computer()Error: Type 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.Devices.Computer' is not defined. Anyone else encountering this issue? I am trying to build a cubeview to enter yearly rates in cubeview for forecast scenario. Is there any way I can do that? Idea is to enter rates during budget and use to for all forecast months instead of loading by periods.

Hello, I wonder if there are customers who use the OneStream solution "Security Audit Reports" in a non self hosted environment? We use OneStream as SaaS customers and we need to audit the security settings. Setup instructions for "Security Audit Reports" are written for self hosted environments. Furthermore I wonder, if anyone uses "Security Audit Reports" in production directly as it is very inconvenient to have this solution running in Dev (and for SaaS customers, there is no Dev environment available by standard). Hi, I am testing V 7.2.3 in our Dev environment. Production is still on 6.5. The security and user groups, data sources, and workflow profiles are identical between the two. I am able to import and validate TB's in the workflow, but several others are not able to Validate in the Dev environment. Has anyone else experienced this?  The validation message is "No Security Access", but the workflow profile and security groups are idential to prod. Thanks!

I created a new dimension member as a child of our direct_department member in UD2.  I have updated all of the transformation rules and mirrored the member properties of its siblings.  I have loaded this month's data which includes the new department and none of that department's data is showing up following the load/transform process.  I'm not receiving any errors either.  Has anyone experienced this or has an idea of where I can look to resolve the issue?

We're working on a solution, where users can enter and view a date through a Cube View using the Cell Type Date. The challenge is how OneStream handles date's (datetime) with time-zones. When a date is saved to the backend, it's converted to UTC time-zone. The Date component in the Cube View is also Time-Zone aware, so that it uses the local time of the user, to convert back from the backend UTC to local-time. The challenge with this is 2 fold: 1) Assuming we would calculate a rent for a given period. The user, based in CET time-zone, enters 2022-1-15 using the Gridview. This date is converted to 2022-1-14 as UTC (2022-1-14 23:00:00). Using a Custom Calculate method to calculate the rent from start (2022-1-15), now adds one day more, as the server time is UTC. (don't mention Daylight Saving Zone)  2) If another user, based in US Central, is reviewing data in the same Grid View (and same POV), this user will see a wrong date, as the server UTC date, is converted to this user's loca

Dear Community,Since I can create a weekly calendar using a customized Time Dim, what is the "Fiscal Year Month Type" such as Fixed week 4-5-4, 5-4-4 in the time profile used for? If it is used for fiscal year purposes, how can I see the impact? I tried to play around time profile, and it doesn't seem to impact anything. Please provide some ideas. Thank you

Hi everybody, I would like to schedule an automatic extract of the security (users/groups/roles) I plan to use a data management job and a BR but I cannot find the syntax of the rule. The code "applicationZipFileHelper" does not extract the security, only the application. Thank you for your help  

I am attempting to update the "text" property (which varies by time) for my UD1 members using a business rule that pulls data from a custom table. The update process works as expected without any issues. However, when I remove a data value from the table, OneStream removes the value from the text property, but the corresponding period remains selected, showing blanks (see Screenshot 2). I am removing the data value using the "Else" condition as shown below (Screenshot 1).Can anyone provide insights on how to also remove the period from the selection when there is no value? Is there any way we can mask the People Planning register data in XFW_PLP_Register Table? The table contains sensitive information like employee salary which cna be accessed by an Non HR Admin.What is the possible solution for this.

Hi All, I am designing a new app with huge data set at detailed level and need time at weeks level. I would like to know if going by custom profile with time dimension at weeks level would be more efficient or having time dimension at month level and using WEEKS in User defined dimension would be better in the performance. It would be great if you can share some pros and cons for both the approaches and which one would be optimistic. Thanks in advance.   

From a button-click, I want to open a different Dashboard, in a new tab (or just open it). It should be fairly straight forward, using: But if the Dashboard I want to open is not within the "Default" workspace, OR, if the Workspace that is hosting the Dashboard is not set to: the function does not work. Smart as I am, it should only be a matter of minutes to figure out the right combination, hereby prefixing the dashboard name with the Workspace name: XFPage=Dashboard:Current.MyDashboardName. But nope. Hopefully someone out there have the right combination to unlock level 2 to the Dashboarding Tour de Master. Cheers Frank
