Hi Is it possible to configure default group settings for a grid view? E.g. I've got a table here, and I'd like to configure the table so that it is grouped by the message column: Regards, Mark

I have a BI Viewer grid using 4 accounts. When I use these numbers in a grid or pivot chart, they can only be sorted alphabetically, or ascending/descending by the data. I would like to manually sort these numbers. E.g. My accounts are Automotive Expenses, Operating Expenses, Non-Operating Expenses and Total Expenses. I would like to sort it as: Operating Expenses, Non-Operating Expenses, Automotive expenses, and Total Expenses.  Is this possible? Thank you in advance.

Hi All,  We are using FdxExecuteDataUnit to export data to SQL tables for consumption by downstream systems. Is it safe to run FDX queries while consolidation/Data Loads is in progress ? Regards Sridhar 

Hello Community...       I can get only one cell data from using FdxExecuteDataUnit. But After that i want to get all data including Rows and Columns. So, For that any sample code...? or what format i need to use..?

Guys, We are using difference of  multiple CVR functions to get the value for a row, and it is working correctly in the Data Explorer , the data is also correct , but when we generate the report in PDF or Excel we are getting an error  in that cell with the name of the first row used in the CVR GetDataCell.For eg: If "GetDataCell(CVR(A1)-CVR(A2)-CVR(A3)-CVR(A4))" is the function , then the error displayed in the cell in PDF and Excel is "Error : A1" .Any idea why this is happening? Thanks

We created a customized application support security group (Pseudo Admin role) which excludes the accesses of cube view form input, JE create/post and user security provisioning.  This is required by internal control as segregation of duties.  We updated maintenance group setting with this Pseudo admin group in all applicable components. e.g. Workflow profiles, Transformation rule, dimensions, confirmation rules, Forms/JE template, Dashboards etc.  The limitations we confront are that the following components are accessible only to the default administrators.  Can we enable the discrete security settings to those components instead of default to admin only?  Thanks!System Diagnostic DashboardCATExtensibility business rulesDatabase under System tab

Hi All, We are facing an error "Unable to execute Business Rule 'BusinessRuleName'. Select a valid workflow, scenario and year, when executing step from PowerShell/REST API. We are passing the parameters using the option "CustomSubstVarsAsCommaSeparatedPairs". Please help if the execute step and the execute sequence works for business rules with parameters using Data Management api from PowerShell. Please help me with sample code.   Good morning, I am writing to inquire about the correct formula for calculating the difference between two values in the same column in a Calculated Field of a Report Design. For example, if I wanted to calculate the difference between the values 121.46 and 120.30 in the "Col0Value" column, what would be the exact formula to use in the Calculated Field? The data are read from a cube view data adapter (not MD). The image below shows an example of the data from the data adapter. Thank you.

Hello Community - I am using multi select combo Box to pass periods selected by user back to business rules, receiving the selected periods in the BR but while executing getting error "Error processing Data Management Step".  Under Data Management I have set Time Filter as WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC=|!ml_WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC!| and  Parameters = WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC=[|!ml_WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC!|]. It looks like the Time Filter is not processing multiple periods from the Parameters, what is the correct way to pass these periods into the Time Filter under Data Units section. Thanks.

I have an excel template. I had a DataList on a cell coming from another sheet.  I added the name ranges for the TableView as it gets data from SQl.  It used to work but it has stopped working and the DropDown of the list doe not happen. It shows the arrow for the partuclar cell but when you click it does not show the list.    Thank You, Indu

Dear Community: I am trying to add a previous year M12 balance to a SCF report.  I can't seem to get prior year data to come over.  However, If I code the amount it does work. Hi all, i need to buil a chart that it is easy to build in excel, but I don't know how to handle it using a chart in the report designer of the report component.  The chart that i have to build is the one in the attached picture. It is a waterfall chart in which you can see the delta between actual and budget distributed on the different line of business (for example delta between actual vehicles and budget vehicles is 31.5, delta between actual rail control and budget rail control is 13.3... and so on). On the other hand though the two bars representing actual and budget have the percentage distribution of the line of business (for example for the budget you can see that the total is 439.3 of which 57% is for vehicles line of business, 37% is Rail Control... and so on). Is there anyway the chance to build a chart like this one using the report component?   thank you in advance.

Hi I am using a column override formula in my cube view and I have noticed that it doesn't work when I try override a column when the name has spaces in it, even if I surround it in square brackets. Am I doing something wrong? Regards, Mark

Hi,  I am trying to load a CSV file to OneStream through my Workflow. I have a few rows in my csv file where the IC column is empty. I am trying to map those IC lines to go in "None". How would you do this? I have tried through a one-to-one mapping; source: |null| and target: None, but it doesn't seem to be working. Thank you

We have an intercompany dividend we are trying to eliminate using a plug account. One entity is recording the expense the other entity is recording the dividend as an equity account. We are utilizing a plug account to match and have it appear on an intercompany statement.  Is it possible for the system to eliminate the amount using a balance sheet vs p&l account? I am seeing the consolidation top level hierarchy reporting out of balance in the balance sheet.   

Everyone, we are trying to create a data buffer using GetDataBufferUsingFormula where we would like to have the current entity or all the DU member's information included. Is there a way to do that? the idea is to get the buffer and then apply a filter based on the entity key. 

I currently have a cube view set up that allows the user to enter lines of text to serve as commentary on the overall dashboard. The issue I am having is that the cube view does not allow for multiple lines of text on the same row.  I have done some research to find using a grid view allows for multiple lines of text in the same row. But I am not sure how/if it is possible to configure the grid view to appear similarly to the cube view but allow for multiple lines of entry within the same row.  Is it possible to replicate the cube view shown below but using a grid view to account for the multiple line of text functionality? Any help is appreciated!

I showed it at Wave and share it with all of you: when you use JSON to log, you can log anything, not just strings, you can log a Dictionary, a list, a MemberInfo, even a Databuffer. First, you need to import JSON, add these 2 rows at the top of your rule: Imports Newtonsoft.JsonImports Newtonsoft.Json.Linq Second, when you want to log, use JSON! Dim stringobj As String = JsonConvert.SerializeObject(lCenterInfo,Formatting.Indented)api.logmessage(lCenterInfo.Member.Name & ", lCenterInfo: " & stringobj) When you use ,Formatting.Indented, your log will be correctly formatted. Hello Everyone,I am having issues retaining the previously selected parameter value in the dashboard, which is linked to a button component. I have a dashboard that has a parameter to pick an entity, and this parameter is attached to a button component in the dashboard. Let's say I run the dashboard and pick an entity X from the button for the first time. If I try to open the same dashboard again and again, the same entity X gets displayed by default, which is expected.Now the problem is when I attach this dashboard to a workflow. From WorkFLow, the entity that I picked for the first time in Dashboard is not getting retained when I open the same dashboard multiple times from through WorkFlow. Is this behavior expected, or am I missing something here? It would be great if anyone could help here.Thanks, Balaji V
