I have a cube view within a dashboard.    The dashboard has a save button which fires a Dashboard Extender rule.  (The cube view save button is hidden). I would like to add a step that, before any changed amounts on the Cube View is saved to the cube, checks the sign of any changed amounts and prompts the user based on a rule if they are sure the sign is correct. Any Ideas?    

I keep receiving this error when attempting to run my dashboard that has a BI viewer component attached to it. I made a bi viewer component and assigned a cubeview MD data adapter to it. created my BI viewer and everything works fine. However, when I assign it to my dashboard I get this error. I've tried attaching other cubeviews to the data adapter and making other BI viewers but I keep getting the same error. Has anyone else run into this issue?    

I have a column where I'm using a GetDataCell formula and I want my Time Row Header to show a date different than that of the Pov.  I've had a solution that uses a Business Rule but wanted to see if an out-of-the-box solution is available. 

Hello I am trying to create a type of dashboard that will contain multiple reports. I want that whatever report has data, only that should appear and report with no data should get suppressed along with its rows and columns too whenver I execute a dashboard? Can this also be achieved via a Cubeview? Please suggest?

Hi, I have a book, with different report, but 2 of them are excel spreadsheets with cubeviews inside. They work, but after created and attached i am getting this error if i want to open it again and do any change.   Error in DXCustomFunctionsHelper.GetSpreadsheetDataProvider(). The spreadsheetDataProvider is not available using the Workbook's Tag property. It works in the book.... Any idea? Anyone?   Thanks JJ

Hi All, I am trying to display percentage values for the different continents in a BI Viewer component with a Choropleth Map. The display of the values works, but I would like to see only one label per continent, as is the case with South America, for example, and not for each individual country, as is the case with Africa and the other continents. Is there a way to change the labeling to only once per continent?

We currently have a cube view built out to compare specific GL account values from quarter to quarter. Some of these values needs to be translated using using FX rates. We have AverageRate and ClosingRate, but when assigning the Currency in the Cube view it seems to default to AverageRate, but the requirement is to be using ClosingRate values.  Is this best way to do this through an XFBR rule? Help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi all, I have created cube view wherein I have used E#Test.Base in Member Filter 1  (Test have 2 children A and B). I need A and B in Member Filter 2 to act as param value in the Dashboard XFBR String. How can I achieve this ? Thanks  

We have developed cube view for BS level commentary to avoid the business excel and email conversation on close process.But we need suggestion on threshold setup to commentary column to allow users to input. Ex: If Var% > 10% only users allow to enter commentary else   not.

After processing the Cube, suppression options for Cube Views in the Analysis Tab disappear. When opening Cube Views in a month where the Cubes are not processed, the suppression setting is still there. Is there a way to solve this, so the suppression setting is always visible? Hello, we use the Addin to retrieve data from OneStream to Excel and we work with quite large files. There are several groupings in the excel file and as soon as you collapse and reexpand a grouped section all cells with OneStream-formulas change to #Name or #Value and we have to refresh the workbook again, which is very annoying and time consuming! Same behavior when you just simply add a line within the structure. Does anyone have the same experience in Excel with the OneStream Excel Addin?   Regards Martin

Has anyone pushed files from OneStream FileShare to a company SharePoint site? Is the best approach using Microsoft's SharePoint client object model (CSOM) to upload to subfolder in SharePoint (I assume that OneStream support would have to load the Microsoft.SharePoint.Client DLLs to your system)? Or would it be to use SharePoint's REST API Endpoints to make the connection and post the files to a subfolder? Can anyone provide examples or snippets of either approach?

I have built out an extensible document in PowerPoint that extracts a set at dashboards out of OneStream. I have charts displaying data for the current month, and previous two months.  I am having trouble using a variable to label the two previous months. For the current month, I just use the |CVTimeDesc| variables and it labels it correctly. But I can't seem to find a variable that works to display the prior period months description. Something along the lines of |CVTimePriorDesc|... Any help appreciated. Thanks!

For years now if you had a combo box on a dashboard (use View as the example, where a user can select MTD/QTD/YTD) the user's selection would be saved. This would mean that even if the default for the View Parameter was YTD, if the user picked MTD it would stay on MTD the next time they came back to the dashboard.  I have been noticing in V8.1 this is no longer the case. When I come back to the dashboard, it is always set to the Default YTD, even though I left it on MTD. Am I just missing a new toggle somewhere that I need to flip on so that it saves my selections? Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Thanks!

Dear Community, Is it possible to merge cell in rows and display our heading in center of it? My heading should be populated in center based on user selection of time. In first image it is in left but I need it in center.   

HI all, For our reports @Mars we would like to show a complete blue header bar f(rom the left to right), including the column header titles, like below: I've been playing around with the CV extender options but I havent got any further than below. It keeps aligning the titles at the wrong position, left or right. Does someone have a nice example of an extender rule who solved this?   Thanks alot!   Regards,Jorrit

Is there a way to pass the Required Input Parameters for a book into a loop?  For example if the users picks 2024M3 for time I want to be able to produce a report for that period as well as a report for -3 months and -12 months.  I can get T#POV, T#PovPrior3, T#POVPrior12 to work but I would like to use the input time instead.  

Hi All,  I 'm trying to build a cube view report, it has numerous rows in it, However I need only TOP10 results. Could you please help me how do I select only Top10 results based on the total value? Assume that it is sales related information, Report has the details about all location sales. However, I would like to see only TOP10 location results (Based on the total sales)It would be helpful if anyone could assist on this ASAP. Thanks, Bharath

I have a dashboard with a Label component that uses a Cube View as the data adapter. Here's how it's set up: The Cube View (CV) employs an XFBR in the account POV to retrieve one account number. Therefore, I've assigned XFBR(BRName, Function_Name, Account =[|!Param_Account!|]). The XFBR utilizes a Member List parameter from the same dashboard, where I've set the parameter's default value. The error occurs when I open the dashboard. The Label value attempts to run the Cube View, triggering the XFBR rule. However, it fails to capture the default value of the parameter, resulting in an error. My assumption is that the XFBR is unable to transmit the default parameter value. The workaround is to directly open the Cube View section and modify the account POV field to only include |!Param_Account!|, then run it once. This action somehow prompts the system to store the parameter value for that user. Subsequently, when the user runs it from the dashboard, the error is resolved. Do you ha
