Reporting

The client requires us that aggregation is with an average method and not summing (this condition must be applied to all dimensions). For example: Oversea and Europe are aggregating summing (UD4 members), however, the client requires that the aggregation make an average of their children. Note that in column we have metrics (account members) where we need to apply it.The result desired would be 5 %.Thanks in advance.

Hi All,We have a spreadsheet component containing two tabs. One tab has the source data derived from a Table View. The second tab has a Pivot created on the data from First tab. The Pivot Table has "Refresh data when opening the file" checked under Pivot Table Options/Data settings.The source data tab refreshes as expected if TableView output changes based on the spreadsheet component setting. The Pivot table however does not refresh automatically.Is this a known issue ( OneStream spreadsheet component vs Excel) or do we need additional configuration to make it work? 

Is there any way to get a superscript for a footnote in a cubeview row header?  Ex: Interest expense1  

I am attempting to create a view in a dashboard for users to be able to see all metadata for each row with that value. Essentially I need to recreate the "Data Records" Report in the database.  I would prefer not to recreate it in SQL via a data adapter, instead use either a Cube View or a Quick view in Spreadsheet.  For the Cube View I can't seem to display more than 12 of the dimensions and would need 16 in the report (Cube and View aren't needed those can be in the POV). For the Quick View in Spreadsheet putting |!prm_Entity!|  returns "#ERROR - The member filter contains unresolved parameters" instead of providing some sort of dialogue box to select the member.  Any suggestions on how to get all dimensions into a Cube View or how to use parameters in the Member Selection in a Quick View would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Hi, I have an admin Workflow Profile where I have children steps that are different dashboards. I would prefer not to create these as Forms steps as I want to certify each step and not every Form. I have system default settings to set this as Profile Active True/False. Is it possible somehow to change so this is only Active for months which are not a quarter?  I want to remove this from the Workflow Profile in quarter months to avoid and eliminate the risk of someone using this dashboard in a quarter.    

Hi all, We have a CV that we want to suppress based on V#Footnote values but the suppression seems to ignore this column and only suppress based on number values. Is that true? Is there any workaround or any way to have OS recognize text as a value to base the suppression on? Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

how can i retrieve Entity, description, currency, IsIC and few text fields in Cube view like in Grid view for entity dimension?

Hello, everyone, I created book in OneStream, which includes several cube views, and open this book in Excel OneStream Add-in. Could you please advise can I change some parameters in this book, for example Time member, and refresh all cube views in this book in order to received updated figures based on new parameter? Or it's not possible, because books which I open in Excel OneStream Add-in, contains only values and if I want to update reports via Excel OneStream Add-in I need to create quick views in Excel OneStream Add-in?  

It does not appear that Cube View Extender Rules can be applied to Excel output. Can someone confirm this or provide an example if you have gotten this to work? Thanks!

Hi allI have a tableview that retrieves cube data and adds the stage data for the cube data. It is displayed in a spreadsheet which has conditional formatting to highlight the stage records. My problem is that all the formatting is wiped when the tableview is executed. I have tried to format the rows in the tableview but the only option I can find is for column format.Does anyone know if it is possible to retain the formatting in a spreadsheet when using tableviews. Failing that anyone know how to format the rows in a tableview (I want to format some not all rows).Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks Marcus

HiI appear to be having a slight issue when trying to feed the user selection of multi combo boxes embedded in the main dashboard to other dashboards that the user would be navigating to (i.e. their selection on the main dashboard would be the default in the next dashboard).  I can currently only get it to work for one single combo box at a time?I'm using a Dashboard Extender Rule which incorporates both the LoadDashboard function type (this is activated against a server task for the dashboard being navigated to) and the ComponentSelectionChanged function type (this is attached to each of the combo boxes as a changed server task)Any advice on this would be much appreciated or if there is a easier way to achieve it?ThanksAndy 

The Preserve Excel Format option seems to work for retaining formatting done in Excel when re-opening and refreshing cube views. However, I'm finding that my data is greyed out as if invalidated upon refreshing a cube-view in Excel after the initial connection. I've tried setting the font color to black and that was overridden upon refreshing as well, even though all other formatting is still intact. Perhaps there is a setting I am missing?

I have a dashboard with a cubeview.  The user is allowed to enter data into multiple cells and then save.  I have a save event handler to verify the data entered, however, I cannot access all of the information at one time.  The event handler provides access to one cell at a time.  Also,within each row I have a cell where users may change the numeric value and another where they type in an annotation.  Changes to the numeric value cells will fire the event handler however changes to the annotation cells alone will not trigger the event handler.  Is there any way to access the entire cubeview pre saved data to verify entries.  I need to know that if a user entered a value that they also entered an annotation or if the user removed an annotation where a numeric value existed on that row.  

I have a Cubeview that's Header rows are Entity/Account/UD2.  I'm going to export to excel, but currently I get column A is Entity, Column B is Account and Column C is UD2. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to make Column B be a concatenation of Account and UD2 when it's exported.  Column C can be whatever or not at all.

Hi- I was wondering if there is any way to combine 2 cube views that are already built. Assets and Liabilities are on 2 different reports and I am trying to combine into 1 report. 

I have a dashboard with buttons that export excel workbooks. I have one cubeview that uses Column Sets and I am not able to get this one to work with the button. I was hoping either a combo box or pop up parameter would work, but I cannot get the export to recognize the columns. When I manually run the book from file explorer it gives me the column set parameter and works just fine. This leads me to think I'm missing something in the button execution.Thank you!

Howdy,When using Guided Reporting, the Selector List Labels are not being positioned correctly. As shown below, the label is positioned on top of the next parameter (to the right) instead of the parameter it's associated with. Has anyone experienced this before and have a solution?  Additional information:Occurs in every report when viewing in Guided ReportingGlobal Selector List Labels are aligned as expected  Thanks in advanceMantis   

We are looking to turn some of our existing cube views into report books to loop through entities. Right now we use an XFBR string (referencing Brapi.Workflow.Metadata.GetParent) instead of a parameter to determine the entity. Is it possible to create a report that loops through the entities with the XFBR string or would we have to duplicate the cube views and use a parameter instead? 

I have a Cube View with three Account dimension columns - Net_Rev, Std_Cost, and a CVC calculated division column to calculate Std_Margin (Std_Cost/Net_Rev). Rows are a UD dimension representing the Product.  In my Dashboard, I have a Cube View MD Data Adapter using this Cube View as the data. When I add a BI Viewer Pivot Grid, I want to display the same three columns - Net_Rev, Std_Cost, and the calculated column. I see CalcScript in the Pivot Grid's Data Source dimensions. How do I use it in the Pivot Grid to display the calculation that the Cube View was doing for that third column?I thought I might reference it in the Value filter along with the two Accounts, but it doesn't appear as a column in the Pivot Grid. 

I am trying to get a dashboard to have a particular scrolling behavior that I am not sure how to do if it is even possible.  A simple example of the ideal is below.  In this ideal dashboard the dashboard will scroll horizontally only.  The inner dashboard will individually scroll vertically.  I can not seem to get the outer dashboard to only scroll horizontally, and when it does that outer horizontal scroll turns off it appears the inner vertical scrolls.  I think I am asking for too much but was hoping to get some confirmation.  Thanks.  

Hi Everyone,We recently received a request from the client to set up a default value in the combo box for the cube view. The cells are set with type Annotations and has a dropdown of options to be selected. The client wants to default the dropdown as PctBudget until and unless it is changed.Is there a configurable setting that can be used to achieve that?
