Reporting

Hello,    I have a dimension (UD5), the base embers of which I tag  with a certain text "TEST1". I am trying to create a dynamic hierarchy in UD8 by reading those texts as Text1.  I would like to use this dynamic hierarchy as  a report filter.  For some reason this is not working. I have no formula or BR to do any processing. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Indu

Dear Community, We have requirement to for reporting in which when we run the report its huge and we want to reduce the size of data and we want to apply sparse row suppression but since we have used dynamic calc in our column set which is throwing error when we apply sparse row setting.  Please let me know if you have any idea or solutions which would be very helpful. Is it possible to assign more than one security group to a Dashboard without having to create a new security group?  We have a Dashboard that our SuperUsers currently have access to, and they want the Supervisors to be able to see that Dashboard as well. We don't want to create a combined security group to include both SuperUsers and Supervisors to maintain separation of duties for auditing purposes and we don't want everyone in the application to have access to the dashboard.  Is this possible?   

Hi all, I have created some calculated fields into BI-viewer. I need to use the dashboard parameters into those calculation expressions as I have some calculations according to that. Any idea on how we can do that.

Hi, All!  I am unable to submit (cubeview form) from an Excel workbook which contains many unrelated sheets.  Leaving the workbook as is, I enter a new number in the form and click submit, but nothing happens...No error message, but it doesn't overwrite the existing number., so it isn't working. However, when I randomly delete a few sheets from the workbook, eventually the cell will turn yellow when I change the number, but submitting the data still doesn't update the number.   But when I delete a few more sheets, the cell turns yellow and finally the data is submitted.  Since it is resolved by shrinking the size of the workbook (original size is 3.23 MB) it seems to be a memory issue.  Is there a fix for this or even a known root cause?  Not sure if the issue is Excel and/or OneStream or something else.  The user would like to keep all of the sheets in the file.  Thank you!   🙂   

If I have a dashboard gridview of Stage table data, is it possible to execute a drillback to a source system directly from the gridview?

Hi All,   I have a dimension hierarchy like Account1(parent) and Account2(parent) hierarchy members in Account Dimension and i need those base members in the same row/column. I tried adding those members and got below error, can anyone suggest how to resolve this. Thanks in Advance.

Our team uses cubes views for reporting.  Often times they will highlight a cell for analysis purposes in a separate color, however when they refresh the cube view the color reverts back to the original color.  Is there a way to keep color, upon refresh.    

Hey folks, We have a requirement to define range of rows in a GetDataCell. For example: GetDataCell(CVR(Row1) + CVR(Row2) + CVR(Row3)..... CVR(Row100))Instead of defining it manually till Row100, Is there any way to give a range like this GetDataCell(CVR(Row1):CVR(Row100)) ?Any solution to this will be helpful. Thanks. 

Hello Community I have data sorted in descending order in Data Adapter. But when that data is imported to BI Viewer I am not getting in descending order or any other sorting order. 

We have a combo-box for entity selection on a dashboard however, it only allows a user to select 1 entity at a time. How do I make that comb-box open to multi-select 2 or more entities? Hi, We have a user that is getting the error below while trying to refresh an excel file using Smartview.  I've had a look at the file, and it's nothing special. Just a few XFgetCell formulas, and it runs fine for me. Error: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collecion. Parameter name: index.   Any ideas folks?

Are there any steps that need to be taken for YE close in OneStream. Balances rollover P&L to R.E. and Opening balances for BS accounts. Do we just run a 2024 force consolidation? Any recommendations?

Hi all, I'm looking for a way to skip a dimension parent level in a Tree expansion while still maintaining a tree style view.  Does anyone know if this is possible? Alternatively, does anyone know of a way to declare an expansion MyHierarchy.Tree and include a .Where or .Remove clause?  I can't seem to get this to work for me so I wonder if it's just not possible using the "Tree" method. Example: Default Expansion based on .Tree expansion Parent 1     Child 2        Child 3            Base MemberDesired View (skip the Child3 parent):Parent 1      Child 2            Base Member

Hi, This is most likely basic but I cannot find a reference for this.  I want to show the time Quarter in a cube view, but the name should be the last month of the quarter instead of Q1. Should be March 2023. May I know how to do this? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I sent out an excel cube view report to My colleague. He filled in the numbers and sent it back to me to submit. However, when I click the submit button in excel, the cube view report number is overridden ( to existing system data) and the number my colleagues input is gone. Any way to submit his number before the cube view loads the previous number? Thank you.

I am trying to build a cube view where the columns represent the 4 quarters in the year and then a YTD column. So if the POV is 2023M8 then I would like to see Q1 2023, Q22023, Q3 (should be M7+M8) and Q4 should be zero. I have tried this but it is still displaying the total for q3 even if my pov is M8 it is still picking up M9 T#Quarter(|PovTime|).allpriorinyearinclusive:V#periodic my next column has this T#Quarter(|PovTime|).allnextinyear:V#periodic but it is still showing the YTD reversal any suggestions? thanks

Dear all, I'd like to ask about a generalization for the "Insert suppressed Member" tool. In the link (Insert Suppressed Row Members - OneStream Community (onestreamsoftware.com)), we can find a successful case but I can't implement it in a general case using member list. Also, at the beginning of the list, I added the parent member ("ICEntities" in this case). The issue is that when there's no data, the whole line is suppressed so it's impossible to use the "Insert suppressed Member" option. Also I checked the options for the columns as recommended here (Solved: Cube view rows suppression - OneStream Community (onestreamsoftware.com)) but the main line still doesn't appear. Hello - I'm working on a cube view that will be used to add variance commentary. The rows have accounts and subtotals, the first column will have a specific entity that will not change, then the next set of columns will be dynamic. I have it set to pull base entities based on specific text values. The entities that do have the first text value (called "DP_2023Q4") are appearing as intended, however there are no entities that have the text value (AQ_2023Q4) in the member filter of the next column, so when I run the CV it just repeats the first column to the right of the columns with the DP_2023Q4 entities. I have several questions for this: 1. How can I set the cube view to return a blank column if there are no base members that have a particular text value? I added a column override with a UD8 dynamic calc set to return nothing if there's no data, and that didn't work. 2. Right now the member filters are set to look for text values that have "DP_|WFYear|Q4" and "AQ_|WFYear|Q4". This sh

Hi all - This is probably pretty basic, but I keep getting stumped. Ultimately I have two monthly metrics I want to look at for each month for current year and prior year. I can get the current year rows set and working, but for some reason for the prior year rows, it shows me the full year data instead of the periodic, even when the cell POV shows "periodic" it fails to grab the month with the year. set up like this:   The months are tied to the columns and the year is tied to the row. Any idea why my PY rows cannot recognize the month while the current year can?
