Reporting

I am building a balance sheet report where accounts will show on the rows. Under accounts receivable, we'd also like to show its payor breakdown which we use UD3 for the payor data. Is there a way to apply UD3 into the rows but only show for the accounts receivable section?

I have a BI Viewer grid using 4 accounts. When I use these numbers in a grid or pivot chart, they can only be sorted alphabetically, or ascending/descending by the data. I would like to manually sort these numbers. E.g. My accounts are Automotive Expenses, Operating Expenses, Non-Operating Expenses and Total Expenses. I would like to sort it as: Operating Expenses, Non-Operating Expenses, Automotive expenses, and Total Expenses.  Is this possible? Thank you in advance.

Guys, We are using difference of  multiple CVR functions to get the value for a row, and it is working correctly in the Data Explorer , the data is also correct , but when we generate the report in PDF or Excel we are getting an error  in that cell with the name of the first row used in the CVR GetDataCell.For eg: If "GetDataCell(CVR(A1)-CVR(A2)-CVR(A3)-CVR(A4))" is the function , then the error displayed in the cell in PDF and Excel is "Error : A1" .Any idea why this is happening? Thanks

  Good morning, I am writing to inquire about the correct formula for calculating the difference between two values in the same column in a Calculated Field of a Report Design. For example, if I wanted to calculate the difference between the values 121.46 and 120.30 in the "Col0Value" column, what would be the exact formula to use in the Calculated Field? The data are read from a cube view data adapter (not MD). The image below shows an example of the data from the data adapter. Thank you.      

I have an excel template. I had a DataList on a cell coming from another sheet.  I added the name ranges for the TableView as it gets data from SQl.  It used to work but it has stopped working and the DropDown of the list doe not happen. It shows the arrow for the partuclar cell but when you click it does not show the list.    Thank You, Indu

Hi all, i need to buil a chart that it is easy to build in excel, but I don't know how to handle it using a chart in the report designer of the report component.  The chart that i have to build is the one in the attached picture. It is a waterfall chart in which you can see the delta between actual and budget distributed on the different line of business (for example delta between actual vehicles and budget vehicles is 31.5, delta between actual rail control and budget rail control is 13.3... and so on). On the other hand though the two bars representing actual and budget have the percentage distribution of the line of business (for example for the budget you can see that the total is 439.3 of which 57% is for vehicles line of business, 37% is Rail Control... and so on). Is there anyway the chance to build a chart like this one using the report component?   thank you in advance.

Hi I am using a column override formula in my cube view and I have noticed that it doesn't work when I try override a column when the name has spaces in it, even if I surround it in square brackets. Am I doing something wrong? Regards, Mark

I currently have a cube view set up that allows the user to enter lines of text to serve as commentary on the overall dashboard. The issue I am having is that the cube view does not allow for multiple lines of text on the same row.  I have done some research to find using a grid view allows for multiple lines of text in the same row. But I am not sure how/if it is possible to configure the grid view to appear similarly to the cube view but allow for multiple lines of entry within the same row.  Is it possible to replicate the cube view shown below but using a grid view to account for the multiple line of text functionality? Any help is appreciated!

I didn't yet find a post about this anywhere so adding this here in case anyone else encounters the same problem. If a user has an Excel with a formula that references a cube and a scenario that is not valid for that cube (i.e. there is no CubeRoot profile for that cube/scenario combination), all cells in the Excel (not just the cell with the mistake) will show #REFRESH instead of the expected values. This will somehow corrupt the Excel so that the problem continues even after the cell is removed and the sheet is refreshed! The only way to get all the other cells to retrieve values correctly again seems to be to remove the cell with the mistake, restart Excel, and then refresh again.

Hi team How do I create a border across rows and columns, essentially creating a box around them? The use case is for showing the detailed amounts for a subtotal in the AFS, contained within the box - as seen in the screenshot attached. When trying to add borders to a cell, it automatically applied the border selection to the rest of the rows as well.

Hello! I have a user group who needs a specific set of data pulled just after close every month in order to populate other reporting tools they use. Here's the formatting they require: I'm struggling on my options because this results in about 16M+ rows of data. I get an error when trying to export the CV and a QV won't show all rows even with the max # of seconds set to the largest number (which I believe is 600). A DM extract will not show the right format but I don't think a QV can be auto run and sent via Parcel Service. What are my other options? Thanks for helping me brainstorm!

I am trying to incorporate patterns in the advanced charts and bi viewer bar charts. I don't see any option to select the color patterns. This is one of the examples of the pattern mentioned below -> Light Blue 48A6EA Dotted 90%  

Hi All,   I have created a cube view in which rows has data with ChildrenInclusive like parent with child members in a same row  and base members are aggregating to the parent. Here I need to change the format like bold, color, Text color to the parent member only. Can anyone suggest how to do that.   Thanks in Advance.

Hello, How can I see the signage from aggregation weights. For example I have these 2 account groups in a hierarchy: PL44000000 has aggregation weight 1 PL43700000 has aggregation weight -1 When I show these in a cube view with SG&A.Children.Base all numbers are showing as positive numbers, which makes it difficult to see how it adds up. This example is still straightforward, but I have some more complex use cases.  Is there a way to show the numbers based on the aggregation weight, or just show the value from the aggregation weight on the meta data member (-1, or 1 in this example)? Hi all, new OneStream consultant and developer here. I am trying to build out a cube view for a client and I think I need to use CV math for one of the columns, but I am not sure... I need my 'Var%' column to show the difference of Actual and Budget scenarios, which I assume should be very simple, but I do not know how to do it.  Here is a partial screenshot of the Excel report I am re-creating: The row this intersects with is using the following: a gross profit account and a U8 calculation for percent of rev. The current data is showing the percent of rev for the Actual column. Do I need to use CV math within an override to get the desired result?  Thanks in advance!!!

Hi All, I am building a roll forward form and I am able to get Beginning and ending balance through business rule. I am not able to input activity manually in activity roll forwards as the fields are disabled. Please see the attached picture. I have checked all POV and everything but could not solve the issue. Dear Community, we have a requirement to add Pie chart (BI Viewer Component) to the dashboard reports. we were able to see the pie chart when we ran the BI Viewer component but when attached to the dashboard it does not show the pie-chart. Here are the properties we used for the dashboard. Any solutions to this will be helpful and appreciated.  

I have a cube view that utilizes a shared Row and Column set. The row set has roughly 300 rows. Is there a way to Supress NoData Rows across the entire cube view - as opposed to modifying the setting row-by-row? Thanks, Matt

Hi All- We are trying to create a BI Viewer to compare Current v Previous Qtr OPEX. We look at the end date (only two end dates possible of course) to create a Current QTR measure (max end date) as below. However, I can't seem to get the syntax for the measure correct. Not sure what I am missing which is generating the error below: A Summary Expression is Expected    

I have a requirement for a book to produce different views (i.e. Periodic, QTD, YTD) based on the WFTime. The periodic report should always appear no matter the WFTime, however the QTD Version will only appear in certain months. I cannot get the "if" statement shown below to trigger.  I have an item to change a dashboard parameter present in the CV as well.  Is my syntax incorrec on the "If" statement?  Any help would be appreciated!     

Hello Everyone,I am using a Delimited List Parameter which results a list of comma separated values from SQL through XFBR.When i use this parameter in Dashboard, it always shows as blank when it starts up, even though i have set the default value property.Looks like its a limition at this point of time.Are the any alternate ways we can use the default value for Delimited List Parameter in Dashboards ?

Is it possible to format cells inside a table in a report component so that the value displays as both a bar and a value similar to how it looks in the BI Viewer grid component in the image below?
