Hi all, Not sure if I'm in the right spot to post this question but here goes. I recently downloaded a word document off the OneStream site (I think from Knowledge Base) called "Optimizing Excel for Quick Views and XFGETCELL()". In that document there was a recommendation to change the default value from 2 to 4 in the Environment / Configuration Tab/ MultithreadingSettings property / "NumThreadsForGetDataCells" and "NumThreadsForSetDataCells".Has anyone else tried this yet and did you realize any performance improvement in large Excel XFGETCELL() workbooks?On a related note, does anyone have any other recommendations for optimization of Excel beyond the usual that has been presented here (i.e. Manual Calculation = on, Various preference settings, Refreshing in the Spreadsheet tool instead of in Excel, etc. etc.). I feel like we've tried everything suggested at this point, except for the NumThreadsForGetDataCells configuration. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi All, I have the following use case whereby in my parameter, I have a member list of C#Local,C#USD,C#JPY,C#|WFText2| whereby WFText2 will be currencies/consolidation members eg. CNY,EUR,SGD,USD,JPYIs there a way to filter the member list to remove duplicates such that if WFText2 is USD, the memberlist will return C#Local,C#USD,C#JPY instead of C#Local,C#USD,C#JPY,C#USDAny help is appreciated, thanks! 

Has anyone ever come accross and issue where you've built out a quick view in excel to either faciliate reporting or to input values into a planning scenario and you open the workbook to refresh the quick views and they are all #refresh with the links broken?  The quickview POV is greyed out as if its no longer there. I've tried refreshing the page, workbook/closed excel and restarted... Any solutions or troubleshooting would be appreciated!!!!

Hi,  Does anyone have a solution to see calculations (sum, avg, count) when cube view cells are selected? This is similar to Excel where the calculations on the selections on rendered on the page on the bottom right.

Hello OS Community, We are building Power BI dashboards using the new Power BI connector for OneStream. We can successfully retrieve OneStream data through the connector in Power BI Desktop. However, after publishing the .pbix file to the Power BI Service, we are unable to refresh or schedule a refresh from the service. We reached out to Microsoft, and they indicated that this is a third-party connector (Power Query OneStream connector - Power Query | Microsoft Learn) and redirected us back to OneStream. We also contacted OneStream support but have not been able to resolve the issue. I’m curious if anyone has had a similar experience and found a resolution. Below is the error we received: "Unable to update connection credentials. Failed to login with OAuth token, please update the credential manually and retry.Details: [DataSource.Error] Unable to connect to the remote server Please have this information handy if you choose to create a support ticket. Hi, A dynamically calculated KPI returns "Nothing" for future months in the Actuals and therefore I expected the line in the advanced chart to stop at the current month. However, it's not doing that, instead it is dropping to zero, creating a rather undesirable effect. I can't imagine that this is the default behavior of OneStream. Am I doing something wrong? Did I overlook a setting or is there another way to prevent the drop to zero for non-existing data?

Hi everyone,I was wondering if anyone knows a way to open a table as a spreadsheet in a dashboard, allowing the user to create, remove, and edit the rows as a traditional spreadsheet.I already use the SQL table editor for updating tables, but it's not very user friendly, especially when the user has to add many rows.Any help is appreaciated!

 

Dear community,When opening a cube view in PDF, the row height isn't automatically equal to the row header height. As a result, the color in background within the cells isn't extended properly:    A workaround is to set a row height, but the problem becomes when we have an header description that would be bigger. How do you handle this at your customers please?Thanks,Florence

I am creating a cube view.  Currently, it is showing monthly view and annual total for Workflow year, but future years (2027 and 2028) are not showing annual total only. What should change to show both monthly breakdown and annual total for outer years (2027 and 2028)? Hi,Anyone on Version 8 who's actually tried to use this 'enhancement' feature in Cube Views?  We requested this on Ideastream a long time ago with a lot of support. I can see this command is now available in the header format dialog; however, it would appear that the only thing it does is change the header from left justified to center view.  There does not seem to be a way to actually 'merge' column headers, despite the fact that it's called "MergeAndCenter". Even the system documentation appears to confirm this behavior. Someone please tell me I'm missing something here and it actually is possible to merge column headers, because we really really wanted this feature. Thanks

Hi I am trying to make a welcome homepage using Genesis. I would like that the user always arrives at the news block (Green with blue underline) when logging into the system. But if the last time the user was in Reporting  then the dashboard starts up in reporting. See red box.  How do I force the system to start up in the green box?     Regards Ole 

Hi I have made a new instance regarding a new welcome menu to the users. Therefore I have two instances: The original when installing Genesis Welcome menu (named Welcome9) Du to practicality I need to embed number 2 into an existing dashboard. When entering the dashboard name ( container_bag_(App)_(Main)) in the embedded it takes number 1. Is there a possibility to enter Welcome9/Pnav_(App)_(Main)/container_bag_(App)_(Main) or how do I refer to the correct container_bag_(App)_(Main)? Or is it the wrong dashboard I am referring to? I'm creating a cubeview with comments page and trying to have comments tied to each individual group but comments are only saving with our top level group and not moving with the parameter. I've entered comments on our other groups and get the same result.  Below is what I have entered in commentary configuration.  Any ideas?

Hello the Community,Currently working on the formatting in a cube view, we noticed that the Transparent color in excel isn't working, most probably because Transparent isn't a police color recognized in Excel. Do you confirm you have the same on your side and do you have any other workaround than setting the text with the same color as it's background?Thanks in advance,Florence  

Hi the Community!I need to show, in a cube view, the subtotals of my rows, showing the dimension members presented in the Row1 header (I have 2 rows in this case). To achieve this, I built an UD8 dynamic calculated member and that works pretty well - when on the Row2 base members, then it shows the description of the members, if i am on the Total member, then it shows the member descriptions of the dimension which is set on the row 1). However, sounds quite basic, but I need to set another format on those subtotals, so I used the Conditional format based on the Row Member names (If RowE1MemberName ...), what is working perfectly fine, until I hide those row headers - in this case, then the conditional format doesn't work anymore !How do you achieve this kind of basic requirement in this case? Hi everyone, I currently have a dashboard that shows the following table:the format of each field has been set in the SQL Table Editor settings, to allow the users to understand what fields can be updated.Nevertheless, I would need to make sure that the format of certain columns changes depending on how the users populate the table. For example, if the user inputs "MANUAL" under the col TAG, I would like the field "New Target Account" to become yellow automatically upon saving. So far, I only managed to make the content of the other cells dynamic using this construct in the Dashboard Extender BR linked to the SQL Table Editor:xfrow.ModifiedDataRow.Item("T_ACCOUNT_NEW")= "-----------------"Is there something similar that allows to also change the formatting of the cells?Thank you!

hi all, good day; we are using plug accounts and IC matching accounts property, we see the IC matching report but I would like to know if it's possible to get the partner currency in a cube view or though a fx formula in Excel? Hi All,I have a Bi Viewer dashboard where the total for the "NET ASP" column (grey row) is the sum of the submembers. However, this is not correct for the totals [Net Sales / Net Units]. But I'm not really sure how to do it with the current data adapter, Cube View MD.Just some FYI - The first level of the rows is the products, and the second is the market. Did anyone ever face something like this? I have to use the Data Adapter Cube View since I have some calculated fields that cannot be replicated using the Cube View MD. Has anyone had the same issue?Thanks,Davide

Hello, We are creating a cube view where the columns are dynamically filtered by the text fields of Entity and UD1.  I am fairly confident in building a business rule to return the correct result, but I am uncertain of how to then present that in a "totals" column within the cube view. What type of business rule should I use for this? Once I create the business rule to calculate the value, how do I get it to display in a cube view column? (extender rule, dynamic calc, etc.) Any help or guidance on this would be much appreciated.

I am having an issue with cube view parameters within the Genesis content block "Cube View Comments"?  I receive one of two errors - (1) Index was out of range (parameter 'index') or (2) Parameter is not supported.   However, if I put the exact same cube view in the "Cube View Advanced" content block, the parameters work exactly as expected.   Is this a bug or is there something I'm doing wrong?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
