Reporting

I have a dashboard (not bi-viewer, standard OneStream dashboard) frame that needs to be shared with users outside the application on a regular basis. How can I use a screenshot of this dashboard as a picture or book file to be shared with users outside the app? Users currently screenshot the picture and save the file locally before sharing. I'm hoping to use a OneStream tool to accomplish this. I've investigated extensible documents and books, but they appear to require build a "report" dashboard component. Not looking to rebuild the dashboard from scratch.  Ideal situation would be similar to how cube views can embed to picture in Extensible PowerPoints, but I'm open to other options. Hi, In NRR, is there an out-of-the box way to identify (highlight) dynamic variables while editing but to remove the highlight when it's ready to publish? This is helpful when toggling between Show Fields Codes and Hide Field Codes.

Am i just missing something or is there not a simple way to produce a total row in a cube view? I have one row that pulls a list of accounts based on a combo box selection. When I try to use GetDataCell(CVR(Row1) it only brings me the total for the first line in that 'row'. I feel like there should be an out of the box option to grab the total of row 1 that may have multiple accounts. 

Hi,  We're building custom variables for NRR to enable users to select from a set list. These variables are built in Parameters with custom querying. Is there a way to enable these variables to be selected from Artifacts -> Contents or somethin equivalent inside NRR.

I am using header overrides on my columns to create three column expansion levels. I need to add conditional formatting based upon the header display text of "HPU" in this third expansion so that only sections with "HPU" in the header are set to three decimal places.  I do not want to build every HPU column separate from the others, as this would require the build of 108 columns, instead of 12 columns. The system will not let me call that third expansion level in my conditional formula. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good afternoon,I was wondering if anyone has had the issue of In-Sheet Action Buttons turning grey and not working within the excel add in. The environment is 8.5.1, using the 64 bit version of excel, and has the updated excel add in.When using the in sheet actions within the spreadsheet tool, there are no issues with the Buttons and the DM steps run as expected.When opening up in Excel, the first button is greyed out and does not initiate any tasks, while the green button still works.     If anyone has any resolutions, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Ben

I’m working on a loop over Entity.children and trying to implement a condition where, if a particular entity x is selected, then entities y and z should be excluded from the loop. Hi Team, Please help us if any possible way for below requirement. I have multiple rows and columns. here, If Variance column (column D) has the data then Actual column (B) should be populated for that Entity1 . If Variance(column H) has the No data then all column (F,G,H) should be suppressed for that Entity2, I have tried CV suppression setting but it is suppressing the columns when the entire columns have zero or No data and also tried with "use to Determine Row Suppression" property, but no change on the suppression. Kindly let me know if any other setting needs to apply.  

Hi all, We have an interest in being able to provide the Map Changes Audit Report (out of the standard Application Reports dashboard) to a group of users via the Parcel Service function. I've been able to narrow down the application report itself to an "RPT" component but not sure where to go from there. Has anyone out there managed to set this up and if so, would you mind providing a high level view of the steps involved? Thanks very much in advance, Kim

Hi all, is there a way to open the "Workflow Multi-Period Processing" page from a dashboard button?we were able to open the pages for specific time (YYYYMM) and the different steps Import, forms, Adj. But what about the Multi-Period processing which is exeucted at the year level (e.g. 2025)? Which is the Workflow name to use in the Change POV and Workflow button POV Action?here is how we set the button  Can anyone help?Thanks and regardsMassimo

Hi,We are transitioning over to OneStream version 9.0.1. As part of the transition, we are running validations on the data we have copied over from our previous environments. We are running reports like quickviews & XFGETCELLs to retrieve data. However, after clicking on Refresh Sheet/Workbook, we are prompted with the error message: Microsoft excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action Does anyone have a solution to this resolve this issue? This is holding us back with our validations, ultimately affecting our go-live date if this issue persists. We would not feel confident going live if this Microsoft Excel error continues to impact our user base from running their reports.  For additional context: Microsoft Excel is 64-bit version Excel Add-in version 9.0.1 is installed.  Tested on multiple reports along with recreating reports Tested with multiple users/devices

Dear Community, How can we override the GetDataCell method in rows? In columns, I have a Ud8 member with V#Annotation(which pulls text1 property from Entity). In the screenshot below, the rows displaying "ROW" and "OTHER" are not using the GetDataCell method in rows. However, the rows with " - " are using GetDataCell in the row member filter. I attempted to override the method, but Getdatacell is not being overridden. How can I display text in those rows?I need to display the text1 property in those columns.  

Does anyone know how to remove the highlighted crosshair label?  When adding crosshairs to advanced charts, the legend pops up, however, an additional field pops up that is not formatted accordingly.

I am trying to add an advanced chart and BI viewer charts to an extensible document. I know I can change the alt text on an image using {XF}{Application}{CubeViewReport}{CubeViewName} but am wondering what the reference would be to add in advanced charts or BI viewer items. 

I have a Cube View that displays Multiple bas members (for example: Tokyo, Osaka, Berlin and Munich) as columns.When I click on the Report button, the report currently includes all four columns which matches my cube view setup. However, I want to customize the report output so that it only include few selected columns (for example Tokyo and Berlin) while still showing all four columns in the Cube View itself.I want to achieve this using an FDX functions.My questions:Which BR type should I use for this requirement?How can I apply column level filtering in the FDX rule so that only selected base members appear in the report output, while keeping all members visible in the Cube view? 

Hi    I'm working on a PDF report where the font size is currently very small and difficult to read. I’ve tried adjusting it but haven’t been successful so far. Could someone guide me on how to increase the font size in a PDF document?    

hi All, good day. I created a Book using cube views reports and App database files (text editor file including DOCSVARIABLE), I used a filter in time dimension to select the period, when I run the book, even in preview, I select the period and the cube views refresh the data but not the App database file; do anyone knows if I need to do something for refresh the text editor?   also if I change the text editor adding or modifying the cube view, the file delete the new cube view and the modified; is it a bug?   Thanks in advance and best Regards

Here is the scenario: I have a Combo Box that holds value "Summary View" and "Detailed View". Based on the combo box selection value in the dashboard, the CV columns needs to update dynamically in CV. Summary View should have all columns except "Variance" Column. And when Detailed View is selected, This should have all columns including 'Variance' Column. The tricky part is that these are shared columns from another CV. And we already have a formula for 'Variance' column in XFBR. In Short: When Summary view is selected, Variance column should hide and when Detailed View is selected, all columns should show up! Any idea or a suggestions are greatly appreciated! Hi everyone!!I am trying to share a total amount that is calculated form one cubeview to another but it will not let me if I do not bring the source rows for the calculation (From the 1st CV to the 2nd) but I only want the totals. (If anyone knows how to do this great!!)My other alternative is to bring those rows and hide them. Does anyone know how to do this?Thanks!!! 

I have configured a datasource where TextValue is taken from a column of a flat file to be loaded, the file loads well from the Import and I see the text for each loaded row, but I have not been able to display it in a CubeView, is this possible? 

Hi All, I'm having a hard time running a book that creates a pdf by entity in an automated fashion.  I've created a book with a loop calling a file which is a book of cube views.  Running that book individually works well.  When running the book that contains the loop, it works fine when saved as a .pdfbook but the problem I run into is that it times out due to processing time when I try to run it for multiple entities.  The book is about 80 pages or cube views.  So I created a .zipbook version of the same book with said loop to run it from Data Management in the background.  The problem I'm now running into is running the .zipbook version creates 80 pages of blank reports rather than the data I saw in the .pdfbook.  If anyone has any suggestions, I'll take them.  Thanks!
