we have 2 import steps on our workflow, the main Budget Import and the Fixed Cost Reallocation import. The main TB is loaded via the budget import and the fixed costs for this TB are loaded to 1 default department. Later, the entities will reallocate the fixed costs to the correct department via the Fixed Cost reallocation import, the reallocations use the same accounts but a different UD6 to distinguish between the 2 imports. But the original fixed costs amounts loaded via the main Budget import are being overwritten. Any suggestions to prevent the original fixed cost amounts be overwritten? we are using separate workflow channels, and we have tried flipping between using True and False on load overlapping sibblings but nothing is working. thanks
I'm trying to write a BR to export metadata to csv so that I can export them via a schedule. 1) Is there an easier way to repeatedly export dimensions to csv? 2) How do I look up the property name for a Member PropertyId or a Relationship PropertyId? I am querying the members and member_properties table and I'd like to get the property name? Thank you, Scott
How would I bypass import records where the time is not equal to the WF Time POV?
Hi, Can someone share sample code for sending an email notification once a workflow is processed? The email should include the following information: Workflow name Import status Validation status Cube status
I have a BR that runs a load process using ExecuteParseAndTransform. When the data source is empty for that profile it throws the "No valid DataKeys" error and stops the job. I don't even get the opportunity to check the status code of the import. Is there a way to catch that error when using the ExecuteParseAndTransform method? Thanks, Scott
Hi, Data quality is unfortunately not there in all fields. I would like to be able to remap an existing code to the defined EntityDefault member when the code is not included in the constraints. Without having to define each exception on by one - (this I can do). For instance, an entity must have only American customers (my constraint), unfortunately, in the source file I have records with customers from other part of the world. When this is the case, I just want to get them replaced by the EntityDefault member (that I know is part of my constraint). Any clever idea before jumping into writing a BR? PS. I hate writing code in tools that are meant to be no or low code.
I know there is the cell detail upload excel template, however we are trying to load multiple periods just like a matrix load but will be loading cell detail? We basically want to load the classification etc that the cell detail option has on our forms. Thanks!
Hi all, I have developed a process to rollover a form from one period to the next. Specifically prepayments, where the monthly movement is explained for 4 GL accounts using 20ish flows. The user enters a value in the value cell and the commentary cell. I have created a button to run a CustomCalc DM job to copy the values entered from the prior month form and past it to the current month form. I managed to get it working for both the Values and Annotations, so that it shows the rolled forward amount on the new month form. However, when I step through Input Form > Process > Confirm, it then wipes the value at the Process stage. The rolled forward annotation does remain. I notice that when I roll forward, the value is stored as "Calculation" and in blue font. When I type a value in manually, it is in black font and it remains when processed. The main thing that I am finding weird though, is that I developed this in v7.2 and it worked. However, we have upgraded to v8.2 an
I need to create a composite mapping : For UD2, If Account is in range of 6099* and 6999* and UD2 is [123 or 124], then UD2 is 100. In UD2 composite, If I put rule expression in composite like: A#6099*~6999* Target 100, it works. But, I put expression in composite like: A#6099*~6999* : UD2#123;124 Target 100. It does not work. It is ok, if I can even make A#6099*~6999* : UD2#123 work. I can split above in 2 lines for list. But, I need condition for range and another dimension member. Any suggestions?
Hi, I have a scenario member which workflow properties are setup as follow: However, this means we will have to Reset the scenario next year to change WF Time to 2025 and t change the WF start and end times. Is there a way of using the Range in the workflow scenario settings and not having to Reset the scenario every year? We would be ok with users overwriting the overlapping periods (when working in 2025 they would overwrite the period from 2024M11 to 2025M4 which where previously within the Range of the 2024 WF Time), we are just trying to avoid having the extra step of resetting the scenario every year. Thank you
Hi, we have just added some local configuration values to local Gateway like in the following example: I am trying to retrieve those values. My understanding is that a Smart Integration Function must be created and that can than be called from a dashboard extender rule for example. However, the example provided in the OneStream documentation for the SIC function confuses me: shouldn't the RunOperation function return the Result? Anyway, even setting the function type to String and returning the Result string, I am still having some issue in the getting the value over to a dashboard business rule. I am following another OneStream example in this case. First of all the "ObjectResult" does not exist as a member of "RemoteRequestResultDto" I have therefore tried to use a different member like "objectResultValue". I can compile the rule this one, but I get the following error when trying to run the business rule: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Anyon
Hi, I am trying to use Smart Integration Connector for connecting to an SFTP server. We have followed the instructions on setting up the Local Gateway servers and the SIC have been created (see picture below). I have written a SIC function to retrieve the configuration values which are stored on the Local Gateway: I am then trying to invoke the SIC function in a dashboard extender rule as follow: 'Setup the objects to read Gateway Details from BRAPIs Dim objGatewayDetails As GatewayDetails = BRApi.Utilities.GetGatewayConnectionInfo(si, "ebs_prod_sftp_test") Dim objRemoteRequestResultDto As RemoteRequestResultDto = BRApi.Utilities.ExecRemoteGatewayBusinessRule(si, "RemoteGatewayValueFetcher", Nothing, objGatewayDetails.RemoteGatewayHost, String.Empty, String.Empty, False, 600) If (objRemoteRequestResultDto.RemoteResultStatus = RemoteMessageResultType.Success) Then If (Not objRemoteRequestResultDto.ResultSet Is Nothing And objRemoteRequestResultDto.ResultType = RemoteResultType.
Hi, is there a way to set a parameter via task scheduler and pass it to the data management sequence and also its' steps? I've been able to pass a parameter to the sequence but I need it to reach the DM-step. (pictures to prove example)
Hello folks, Is there an explanation why SetDataCellsUsingMemberScript() writes to the cube only the last value from a list? If the list is formed by 10 records only the last one is written. It seems it keeps writing to the same intersection by continuously overwriting instead of adding.
Hi, I'm trying to execute DM Step using Rest API using below URL and Body Text but I'm getting an error with error code 400 and with the message unsupported API version. Hi there,We are trying to test data provider endpoints using Postman but they always fail with Error: connect ETIMEDOUT xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:50001.I have read the documentation, manage to call Authentication API with Personal Access Token but no luck with other endpoints. OneStream support has enabled calls in IIS and has no clue what's wrong. For example:POST "https://{OurBaseWebServer}:50001/onestreamapi/api/DataProvider/ GetAdoDataSetForSqlCommand?api-version=5.2.0"Request Body: { "BaseWebServerUrl": "{OurBaseServerURL}/OneStreamWeb", "ApplicationName": "OneStream Test", "SqlQuery ": "SELECT * FROM Dim", "DbLocation": "Application", "ResultDataTableName": "ResultDataTableName", "XFExternalConnectionName": "", "CustomSubstVarsAsCommaSeparatedPairs": "" } Any idea?
Dear community members, I have a DM Export Sequence defined in a workspace. However, i am not able to save the data source after assigning the DM sequence to the Data Mgmt Settings:Data Export Sequence. While i am able to select the sequence, when i try to save i get this error message: And while the new workspaces are awesome i dont seem to be able to correctly interpret this helpful note in the design & Reference Guide. If OneStream lets me select my DM sequence, does that mean that my DM sequence follows these rules? I have a Non-Default Workspace and a DM Sequence Name. But alas ....We are on 8.2.2. Any tips or references to a solution that may already be here on community would be much appreciated.
Under Calculation Definitions, there are options to run a task for either Loaded entities or Assigned entities. 1. I am assuming that loaded entities stops to filter through only those entities that are part of the data load? Am I correct in this assumption? I saw nothing explicit in the documentation to that effect, but maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. 2. Has anyone ever tested to see what the performance impact of using loaded entities might be? Up to this point, I have only ever seen assigned entities in a workflow.
Hello, We've a requirement where based on certain condition, data source record needs to go to two or more targets. For example, we've expense amount in source data that needs to be go to different SG&A Category (like R&D, Marketing, etc) based on percentages. and these %s are different for different account. we've not used derivative or lookup transformation yet but it seems it can be achieved. i was going through the documentation but it is not very clear. Pls let me know if we're thinking in right direction or if you can help with some sample, would be really helpful
how can I solve this problem?
Hi all, I am importing an international TB from one of our affiliates, and there are local stat accounts included in their submission. I do not want these to be factored in the US GAAP TB file. They start with 9998*, so I tried a rule to report them as "0" instead. However, I really don't want rows of 0's. Is this something anyone has encountered before, and if so, could you assist me? Thank you!
Hi All, How can we map one source column (from our old EPM system) to two different dimensions in onestream (Flow and UD2) In this column we have for example acdclosing whichs need to be mapped to the flow dimension but acdCD needs to me mapped to the UD2. Thanks in advance for the help!
Workflow form has different scenarios Actual, forecast. I have created the step for Force Consolidate and Scenario Type filter is set to (ALL). when i complete the form only Actual Scenario will consolidate but not forecast scenario. i tried to add another step to consolidate forecast scenario but it didn't work. May i know how to set up for all scenarios to be consolidate at once.
Hi, Encountering the following error when attempting to drill back to the source system. Does anyone have any insights? Exception Type: XFExceptionThread Id: 330Message: Smart Integration Connector remote query failed.ORA-00936: missing expression
Hi Everyone, I've written a business rule that peforms a certain task when the process button is clicked in the workflow via the "No Calculate" function within the calculation definitions of the workflow profile (see reference (1) in the screenshot). Broadly speaking it works ok, however I intended for it to only be triggered when clicking process on the "top" node of the workflow (see reference (2) in the screenshot). In actual fact it's running when process button is clicked in any of child workflow step (eg. "Asset Movement" in the example here, see reference (3) in the screenshot). So my question is: can I have a business rule that is triggered by the No Calculate function but only in certain steps within the workflow? Or will it trigger wherever process is clicked? I had thought it would be possible because calculation definitions can be defined in each workflow step which is why I was surprised with the above. (By the way calculation definitions are blank in the "Asset Movement"
