Hello,  I am new to OneStream. While adding dimension items below the root, it seems I may have inadvertently broken something. As a result, I am unable to view the dimensions—highlighted in yellow region below. Clicking ‘OK’ on the dialog shown in the screenshot did not restore access to those dimensions. I’m unsure how to rectify this or reset it back to normal. Appreciate any inputs on this. Thanks

Hi All, We are using the OneStream 'cloud' solution with the desktop application required to be installed to access the OneStream functionalities. We would like to perform load/performance testing for the application with 250+ users to check its performace under the load. Have anyone done performance or Load or Concurrency testing for OneStream cloud application which is accessed through OneStream desktop application? If you have done this testing before, please share the performance or load testing tool and protocol used for testing the desktop application of OneStream with cloud solution. Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

When migrating Financial Close Applications from On Premise to The Cloud , how much testing is required or recommended post migration e,g checking excel report retrievals to verify data as before , key close processes ,data loads , currency settings , etc ? 

What's the best way to load historical data to accounts that have extended accounts under them in OS. For example in our current system we have data in Corporate accounts and we recreated them in OneStream but in OneStream we also extended those accounts to have regions local GL accounts under Corporate accounts.   Current system only has amounts in Account2 but in OneStream going forward data will be loaded to regions local accounts (LocalGL100, LocalGL200, LocalGL300)

Hi All - I have a quick question on Periodic Data Load for Balance Sheet. If I load Periodic data to BS accounts, will it calculate YTD automatically? or we need to write a formula to get the YTD value. Any Input would be appreciated ? Thanks      

Hi Community, do we have a onestream admin copilot? i recently came across copilot for azure sql database and was really impressed by DBA capabilities. I was wondering if OneStream has similar product that let us administrators use a chat based interface to figure out why our cubeviews/formulas or data load processes are running slower and recommendations to fix that. Currently we go through system generated or developer generated logs to figure what is causing the issue and go through documentation and use experience to modify artifacts, it would be great if we have azure sql copliot like feature to help admins.

Hello,  Wondering if there was a way to carryforward V#Annotation inputs on BalanceRecurring Account Types (or any other Account Types) similar to how a V#Periodic input is carried forward on BalanceRecurring.  For example, we have the users selecting a text string in a data cell and would like that data cell to be carried forward when saved. When we click save on this BalanceRecurring Account, the text string doesn't carry forward months because no value is being stored at V#Annotation. V#Annotation:   However, we can change the parameter to have the value of a MemberID (Integer) which stores the value at V#Periodic and displays the String. At V#Periodic, this carries forward that string which is our end goal. V#Periodic: Due to the nature of the tables supporting these custom dropdowns, we would prefer to be at V#Annotation and carrying forward text strings that way. Has anyone encountered this or have solution to carryforward V#Annotation inputs?    

Hi, I'm new to OneStream and wondering if this Account rollup is possible using inherited Account dimensions? Cube 1 is the Main cube and needs to show all Accounts, but the Cube2&3 should only show & operate on a subset of Accounts within this Hierarchy Thanks for your help! Sincerely,David

Hi, I have  this workbook with 2 spreadsheets. 1. A tableview retrieving data from a Custom table. 2. A sheet with a lot of formulas to calculate some numbers.  When I try to copy a cell or range of cell from the second sheet it gives an error saying ' DocumentModel.IsCopyCutMode is false'. This happens only in OneStream Spreadsheet window not in excel add-in.   Any idea what could be the reason and how can it be resolved? Thanks

Is there any way for me to rename different scenario types(from the 24 scenario types) and also add a new one?

New to onestream and doing some training and have sandbox env to play around with it. I have questions on the cube design and extensibility.  I am trying to extend account and product dimension to fit to my three cubes even though level of entity will be the same in two diff cubes. How would I go about? e.g I want to reallocate my salary based on NetSales.Can I have two account dimensions? I cant think of how I am going to do allocation. Or I just need one cube & have everything in their but that will decrease performance, I guess.

I'm an Enterprise Applications Business Analyst and we are looking for a RACI chart that shows the intended usage of the OneStream tool to better understand who and how to support our clients (Finance). We currently use Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation (without Trx matching), and Capital Planning. Does anyone know if something like this has been created by OneStream? Hi everyone, I'm just trying to set up a sandbox of the OneStream server for my own learning.  However, I'm not very knowledgeable on the database side and am not sure how to set up the databases required for the application.  I've installed SQL Server Developer version but as I'm not a database person, I'm not sure how to create the underlying databases.  Unfortunately the OneStream guides I'm following don't go into the details of the steps within the database (understandably).  Does anyone have any guides or describe the steps needed to create the underlying databases for the server? Hi all, Short question. I have a message similar to this:  "Unable to delete member 'XXXX'. Error removing member. Member 'XXXX' has data. Same as in post Unable to delete Entity member - OneStream Community (onestreamsoftware.com) With the exception that the cube is clear (in total there are 2 cubes; one without data and the other doesn't use the dimension in which the member exists). Should it be data somewhere else? If it is the case, where? Thank you. BR, Carlos

We load the GL data with YTD View. Data was loaded for 2024M2. There is no data loaded for 2024M3. For some reason after the consolidation/Force consolidation is run for 2024M3, the M3 P&L accounts are appears to reverse the M1 and M2. I do not expect to see any numbers for M3 and we haven't loaded any data for M3. It appears, I am missing something.  

Hi all,  I try to paste new records to SQL Table Editor from Excel spreadsheet. It allows me to paste the data, it seems right, but it does not allow me to save it. It behaves like there is no data at all. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Is there a way to get the prior workflow period's amount ('Am' field in sourcestageData table)?My use case is subtracting the current period's amount from the prior period's amount to derive the periodic value so I can apply Fx translation to just the periodic value instead of YTD value within a Derivative Transformation Rule.I can easily get the current period's amount with this syntax:  Dim amountValueCurr As Decimal = args.GetNumericValueUsingColName("Am") I can also get the current and prior Workflow Time Key's, but unsure how to leverage the prior Wtk to get those amounts from the prior period.

Users have been receiving the following error when trying to access various dashboards:"'GridItemThemeKeyExtension_DefaultBackgroundColor_OneStreamBlue' resource not found."The error has occurred for multiple users on multiple dashboards, within Production and Sandbox. We have found that the error does not reappear if the user logs out of OneStream and completely closes the application before logging back in and attempting to access the dashboard again.Has anyone else seen this error before and been able to determine the root cause?

Hi, After the reporting units have reported and certified their workflows. We need to post a group journal that affects almost all reporting units (this cannot be done earlier in the process). How is this possible without having to un-certify all companies and unlock descendants etc. There must be a simple way to post a group journal without touching the certified status of a reporting unit.  Please advice. Hey all - does anyone know the best practice to securitize the drill back functionality based on Entity (or other group) access?  My use case is that we have users who can see entire company financials (actuals and planning) but should not be able to drill back to the People Planning registers unless they meet a certain criteria (in a specific security group and have a specific entity group access).  Thanks for any assistance!

Hi there, I have a dimension with 10 000 members under a TOP member.I can delete all of the relationships below TOP running :  BRApi.Finance.MemberAdmin.RemoveRelationshipsHowever, it is extremely slow as it does it one by one, so it takes hours.The same thing with the XML load is a load faster.  <relationship parent="TOPTOP" child="XXXX" action="Delete" /> Any BR to upload the XML or other clever ideas? I have extracted the security roles and users from prod environment to dev environment. i am changing the security role in dev environment. I have deleted all the assigned roles except open application role but still user have all the access as in Prod environment.  can some help to fix this issue?
