I'm trying to write a BR to export metadata to csv so that I can export them via a schedule. 1) Is there an easier way to repeatedly export dimensions to csv? 2) How do I look up the property name for a Member  PropertyId or a Relationship PropertyId? I am querying the members and member_properties table and I'd like to get the property name? Hi We have an account dimension with extensibility applied. Say first level is Forecast where we capture 4 digit accounts. Forecast is then extended to Actual where we capture 8 digit accounts. Now the requirement is to move one of the 8 digit accounts to Forecast level.  Is this even possible and how can we do this if yes? Thank you, Mikki

Hi, How can we ensure that a record is only saved in the SQL table editor or grid view after all cells are filled? A message should be displayed to the user if any data cell is left blank when attempting to save. Is this functionality available in version 7.4? Thanks

I am building a Dashboard XFBR String to return a different Origin member depending on whether the time is before or after 2020. If the time is equal to or prior to 2020, it returns "Top". If the time is 2021 or newer, it returns "BeforeElim". The time is selected by a parameter when the user launches a cube view. The issue I am facing is using multiple time periods in a report. I need one time column to return 2020M12, and another column to return 2021M1. This is pulled as T#FirstPeriodInYearPrior1(|!TimeParameter!|) and T#|!TimeParameter!|, respectively. My XFBR can read |!TimeParameter!| but not the time function result.  Typically, I would use Time = parameter, but if I do that it cannot return two different results for the 2020 and 2021 time periods. CVTime does not work here either as I'm specifying the time in the member filters instead of the POV. MFTime gives an error if I try to use it..  Any help is appreciated. I have a BR that runs a load process using ExecuteParseAndTransform.  When the data source is empty for that profile it throws the "No valid DataKeys" error and stops the job.  I don't even get the opportunity to check the status code of the import.  Is there a way to catch that error when using the ExecuteParseAndTransform method?  Thanks, Scott

Hi, Data quality is unfortunately not there in all fields. I would like to be able to remap an existing code to the defined EntityDefault member when the code is not included in the constraints. Without having to define each exception on by one - (this I can do). For instance, an entity must have only American customers (my constraint), unfortunately, in the source file I have records with customers from other part of the world. When this is the case, I just want to get them replaced by the EntityDefault member (that I know is part of my constraint). Any clever idea before jumping into writing a BR? PS. I hate writing code in tools that are meant to be no or low code.

I know there is the cell detail upload excel template, however we are trying to load multiple periods just like a matrix load but will be loading cell detail? We basically want to load the classification etc that the cell detail option has on our forms. Thanks!

Hi all,  I have developed a process to rollover a form from one period to the next. Specifically prepayments, where the monthly movement is explained for 4 GL accounts using 20ish flows. The user enters a value in the value cell and the commentary cell.  I have created a button to run a CustomCalc DM job to copy the values entered from the prior month form and past it to the current month form. I managed to get it working for both the Values and Annotations, so that it shows the rolled forward amount on the new month form. However, when I step through Input Form > Process > Confirm, it then wipes the value at the Process stage. The rolled forward annotation does remain. I notice that when I roll forward, the value is stored as "Calculation" and in blue font. When I type a value in manually, it is in black font and it remains when processed. The main thing that I am finding weird though, is that I developed this in v7.2 and it worked. However, we have upgraded to v8.2 an

Hi, the OneStream XF design and reference guide mentions that: "If an administrator wants the range of source Accounts from 11202 to 11209 to map to Account 12000, then he/she would enter 11202~11209 under Rule Expression with ~ as the separator."   What if the Accounts in the range have leading or trailing characters? Let say all my accounts start with A_ I have tried to use the the following expression: A_11202~A_11209, but it does not seem to work. Any suggestion? Thank you  

I thought I knew how to solve this but it is not working as expected. We are trying to prevent a Child Group of users called "App_Administrators" from changing System Security. We want them to be able to still 'view' security roles, groups, and users -- just not be able to make any changes. The Group called App_Administrators is a child group in the Administrators Group (which is needed because we want application administrators to be able to run OSD System Snapshots on demand). Since the child group is part of Administrators, we thought all we needed to do was create an Exclusion Group that effectively takes App_Administrators back out of Administrators and apply it to the ManageSystemSecurity roles (there are three of them). After creating the Exclusion Group and applying it to the following Roles  ManageSystemSecurityUsers,  ManageSystemSecurityGroups,  ManageSystemSecurityRoles, we found that the security group App_Administrators members could still modify security

Hi, I have an SQL data adapter that queries an application table, and one of the columns is the CostCenter. This CostCenter is also a dimension in our cube, where the table values correspond to the base-level members of that dimension. In the CostCenter dimension hierarchy, each cost center is either a descendant of Member A or Member B. I want to add a column to the data adapter that indicates whether each cost center is a descendant of Member A or Member B, so that users can filter cost centers more easily in their dashboards. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could achieve this?

hi Team; I've a cube view showing accounts than need to highligh in red when overlap a number dependig the FxRate, I created an Finance BRule searching for a specific rate and multiply be a number where is more than this is highlighted in red. My problem is that number is recorded in a paramenter but is not working, maybe in the image below is showing better than my explanation; could sombody knows how is the parameter format? Hi all, I am trying to use conditional formatting in a cubeview and color all of the columns but I want it based on the cell value in Col3, not its own cell value. I have If (CellAmount > 0) Then ReportBackgroundColor = Green --- but I want it to be Col3 cell amount coloring col5.   Is this possible?

I need to create a composite mapping : For UD2, If Account is in range of 6099* and 6999* and UD2 is  [123 or 124], then UD2 is 100. In UD2 composite, If I put rule expression in composite like:   A#6099*~6999*     Target 100,  it works. But, I put expression in composite like:   A#6099*~6999* : UD2#123;124   Target 100. It does not work. It is ok, if I can even make  A#6099*~6999* : UD2#123 work. I can split above in 2 lines for list. But, I need condition for range and another dimension member. Any suggestions?  

Hello, where can I find a simple guide to formatting my reports, especially in the ‘view reports’ view? Somehow it is difficult to insert blank lines without scenarios, just formatting, do you have a suggestion here? Also the underline frame somehow doesn't work properly, I need a thicker border line but the software doesn't seem to respond when I enter a value for the thickness. Any easy solution available? Is there any way we can input the data at the Parent Entity: One Possible way is Set O#AdjInput and Set Account Property > Allow Adjustments to Data Entry to which I want to input data data.But I am sceptical as it will not allow me to allow Posting a Journal on the base level entity for the account. Is there any possible or better way to do this? If I dont find an answer I have to replicate the Accounts in a alternatate hierarchy with some suffix for the with same description and then copy the data to the original account. 😞 Regards, Nikhil     

Hi Community, I have a rule that is using DataBuffer to copy data from 1 cube to another. The 2 cubes use separate Flow Dimensions . right now I have given in the following way : Is there any way I can give individual mappings of the base members instead of copying parent data. For example :Suppose BGBAL and EBAL are base members of F#SF_Movement. Map F#BGBAL in source Dimension to  F#BegBal in Destination Map #EBAL in Source Dimension to  F#EndBal. in Destination Is such data mapping possible ?. Thanks for the help.
