Reporting

We have files that utitlize vlookups or sumif formulas  when we save an offline copy the formulas do not work after. I have found many times that if I change the value I am referring to in the formula to a text format, it saves them, but sometimes it is not always the case. Has anyone else had this issue and what is the work around? 

We want to use a dashboard to run our books using a data management job so that they can continue to run in the background while the user works in OneStream.Using a button on the dashboard triggers an Export File data management step from a data management sequence. When the sequence is run by itself the book dialogue window opens. But from the dashboard the dialogue window does not open and instead the POV members are passed from the cube POV. Dialogue Window when hard coded and run directly from the Sequence. Similarly when a parameter is entered for the Url or Full File name, the dialogue window does not open, but does when the Full File Name is hard coded. No dialogue window. Dialogue window appears. How can we get the dialogue window to appear while keeping the dashboard dynamic to be able to run any book. Thank you.    

Dear community, With 7.4 onward, we have the concept of "Workspaces", which usually works well. For one of my requirement, I need to embed a dashboard which is on another Workspace. The problem I am facing, is that the parameters that are currently in combo boxes are not recognized when I do so. When I open the dashboard as usual (ie not embedded but as a regular dashboard), then I don't have this issue. How to solve this situation ? My parameters are delimited lists and bound lists. When I open the "main" dashboard that embed the targeted dashboard in Design Mode, it recognize these parameters but these are shown as empty. EDIT : oddly, a similar issue apply to the "Refresh", as my embedded dashboard are getting refereshed as expected when open as standalone, but not refreshed when the dashboard from another workspace is embedded... Hi All,   I have created one cube view and made it as forms so that user can update their data but i also need the user updated data into another cube view. Once user updates in forms it should also able to bring in another cube view. Can anyone help how to achieve that ?   Thanks in Advance.

I would like the use one of the T#Global function and create a dynamic time list for the last 24 months.  For example, I had the time as 2023M12, the list would show me all the months of 2023 and 2022.  Anyone has any tips on how this can be acoomplished? Trung

Hello,    I have a dimension (UD5), the base embers of which I tag  with a certain text "TEST1". I am trying to create a dynamic hierarchy in UD8 by reading those texts as Text1.  I would like to use this dynamic hierarchy as  a report filter.  For some reason this is not working. I have no formula or BR to do any processing. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Indu

Dear Community, We have requirement to for reporting in which when we run the report its huge and we want to reduce the size of data and we want to apply sparse row suppression but since we have used dynamic calc in our column set which is throwing error when we apply sparse row setting.  Please let me know if you have any idea or solutions which would be very helpful. Hi everyone, I have the current Entity hierarchy: I created a cubeview that allows the user to initially select a base entity from a dropdown list to be used as Entity member within the cubeview. In some of the rows, though, I'd like to consider the Legal Entity code rather than the base member code (for example, assuming the user initially selects 1010TRW, I want two rows to use 1010 as Entity member whereas the rest of the rows will use 1010TRW). Is there a straightforward way to consider the first 4 characters of the parameter in one of the rows of the CV?  I tried to search for functions to be used in the Member filter builder window but I did not find any.Thanks in advance for any help!            

Is it possible to assign more than one security group to a Dashboard without having to create a new security group?  We have a Dashboard that our SuperUsers currently have access to, and they want the Supervisors to be able to see that Dashboard as well. We don't want to create a combined security group to include both SuperUsers and Supervisors to maintain separation of duties for auditing purposes and we don't want everyone in the application to have access to the dashboard.  Is this possible?

Hi,I have a large Excel report built on XFGetCells. I am trying to understand the dimensions that each XFGetCell is grabbing, but it takes a long time to parse through an XFGetCell manually and make notes of each relevant dimension. Is there a method or tool to read XFGetCells and translate the dimensionality in a format that identifies which dimension each member is related to? Hi, All!  I am unable to submit (cubeview form) from an Excel workbook which contains many unrelated sheets.  Leaving the workbook as is, I enter a new number in the form and click submit, but nothing happens...No error message, but it doesn't overwrite the existing number., so it isn't working. However, when I randomly delete a few sheets from the workbook, eventually the cell will turn yellow when I change the number, but submitting the data still doesn't update the number.   But when I delete a few more sheets, the cell turns yellow and finally the data is submitted.  Since it is resolved by shrinking the size of the workbook (original size is 3.23 MB) it seems to be a memory issue.  Is there a fix for this or even a known root cause?  Not sure if the issue is Excel and/or OneStream or something else.  The user would like to keep all of the sheets in the file.  Thank you!   🙂

Hello, I am trying to insert an excel file (tab) into a book that will export to excel. The purpose of the file is to insert a tab as a separator between report tabs so that the name of this excel tab denotes the type of reports that come next. I am having trouble inserting an excel file so I have created a work around by creating a blank cube view and giving it the output name that I want it to have and then brining that "report" into the book, but I don't feel like I should have to do that. If anyone has any knowledge on adding an excel file to a book, that would be great. Thanks!

Our team uses cubes views for reporting.  Often times they will highlight a cell for analysis purposes in a separate color, however when they refresh the cube view the color reverts back to the original color.  Is there a way to keep color, upon refresh.    

Hi All, For a Bi Viewer Dashboard I use a Cube View which calculates values with a GetDataCell calculation. I display the values in a line chart. The values are displayed correctly, but the calculated variable name in the legend does not match the defined name in the Cube View calculation, instead the first used account name from the calculation is used. How can I use the name I defined in the cube view cell in BI Viewer, or if it is not possible, how can I rename the variable name manually in BI Viewer?

Hey folks, We have a requirement to define range of rows in a GetDataCell. For example: GetDataCell(CVR(Row1) + CVR(Row2) + CVR(Row3)..... CVR(Row100))Instead of defining it manually till Row100, Is there any way to give a range like this GetDataCell(CVR(Row1):CVR(Row100)) ?Any solution to this will be helpful. Thanks. 

Hello Community I have data sorted in descending order in Data Adapter. But when that data is imported to BI Viewer I am not getting in descending order or any other sorting order.

When defining the CV there are several nested dimensions in the row definition and I'd like to show it so that the header is repeated to avoid empty headers on the rows (see image below). Hi there, I have the same issue as that of the link below but I'm looking for a solution without using a DynamicCalc nor GetDataCell because the parameter "Allow sparse row suppression" is set to True. Does anyone have an idea about how to proceed? We have a combo-box for entity selection on a dashboard however, it only allows a user to select 1 entity at a time. How do I make that comb-box open to multi-select 2 or more entities? I do not see a multi-select true or false option on the combo box form. Parameter: Combo Box: In Dashboard:
