Hello - I have a cube view that currently has two columns. The first is just base members of an account hierarchy, and the second is a dynamic calc UD8 that retrieves the text 5 value for each account stored by scenario type. The UD8 is working and pulling the correct text 5 values, however some but not all of the stored item text is delimited by semicolons. How can I split this text by semicolon into separate columns in the cube view?
HelloI have created a "level 2" transformation rules on ICP dim in order to force certain accounts to be filled in specific fixed IC elements.Do I have: - "level 1" with One-To-One Mappings. - "level 2" with a composite filtering on the account A#[140305] "Level 2 Composite" is completely ignoredWhere am I making the mistake? Thanks in advance for the helpMarcello
Hi All,We are using a spreadsheet component to capture some drivers from end users in our application, how do we customize the ribbon of the spreadsheet component to show only OneStream option in the ribbon? If I do right click, "Customize ribbon", it lets me display only OneStream in the ribbon , but the customization is lost on refreshing the page. Any guidance on how to retain this customization would be helpful.
Hi,I have created some new balance sheet accounts relating to Right Of Use Assets, I have copied the structural dimensions from my existing fixed assets, so that every member property field matches. I use a generic cubeview for recording opening balance adjustments, when I key into all my other balance sheet accounts, then the derived value flows through the remainder of the year. This happens regardless of which is the first month I key into. However, for my new ROU accounts, it does not do it. The values just show as 0 and I have to key in the actual value manually each month thereafter. Here is some sample data to show what is/is not happening. Also, it does not matter which month is the first month. So what have I missed in creating these ROU account codes in the member properties ? They use the same flow constraint as my other fixed assets, so it's not that.Where else do I need to look ?CheersMark
Hi AllI am updating the Admin Consolidations Dashboard (ADM) so that only some users can execute a Force Consolidate. I can hide the radio button group if the user does not have access but I am struggling to update the radio button group (Consolidate/Force Consolidate) so that the correct option is selected. The list of values for the radio button is controlled by a parameter (pm_ConsolType_ADM). In the LoadDashboard event I have updated this parameter using SetLiteralParameterValue (using v6.8). I am assuming that this is how the radio button selection is controlled as I can't find anywhere else where it can be set. If I click on the 'Reset parameter selections' it works.I have tried unsuccessfully to Redraw the dashboard like this:Dim selectionChangedTaskResult As XFSelectionChangedTaskResult = New XFSelectionChangedTaskResult()selectionChangedTaskResult.ModifiedSelectionChangedUIActionInfo.DashboardsToRedraw = "2_1_AutomationTasks_ADM"Any help you can give me is much appreciate
Hello OneStream Infra Experts, I would like to know if we are customer to OneStream and bought the cloud Onestream application, Can't we download and setup an Onpremise Onestream server like Hyperion Onprem version. Please let me know the server details and configuration to Install the OneStream. Thanks
When I use the Pre-Aggregated Member settings, it is copying the data twice. I've tried multiple settings and multiple scenarios. For example, I have tried just O#Top=O#Forms. After I run the consolidation, there is data in both O#Import and O#Forms, doubled. It also happens with multiple Dimensions. I've tried O#Top=O#Forms,U5#Top=U5#PlanningLoad and the data is doubled in both Dimensions
Hello OneStream Admin Certified experts, I would like to perform the certification on OCA and need your experience on how to prepare and what are the documents to refer and minimum duration to prepare on self training. Thanks Sreenu

Hi All,I wish to change the property 'Show Manipulation button' of my SQL table editor to hide manipulation buttons if the workflow selected is a parent but show if the workflow selected is a base. Is this possible?Regards,Mark
Entirely tied to the moment we upgraded the clients to version 7.1.3 we started getting the Windows "pick an account" window when they select External Authentication. We are cloud hosted. I've opened a ticket with Onestream and with our internal resources, and no solution. Anyone else experience the same or is it just us?
Hello all,I am building a planning application on which the end users interact via drop-downs for Entity and UD1 members, and click a "Save Inputs" button that saves input data and runs a custom calculation on the selected entity and UD1.This is done through a data management step that runs a business rule, and on which the selection of the UD1 and Entity impact the business rule to avoid recalculating all the application each time. There are 6 business rules, that respond to different functional models, activated by different "Save" buttons across the application.I want to create a button or data management sequence that will run all the business rules (the 6 models) for all UD1 members of the 4 entities, as an admin task. I have created a Data Management sequence that runs the 6 steps consecutively, with its corresponding button, but have not been successful to modify the arguments or the Data Management parameters to perform the calculation for all members, as I cannot input "E#All"
HiDoes anyone know if it is possible to create a 'Read only' column in a SQL table editor?I have set the column format 'AllowUpdates = False' which almost gives the correct functionality. However, the field is still editable when you insert a new row.I currently get around this by completely ignoring the value in the field during the SQL Table Editor Save Data Event, but I wondered if it is was possible to ensure that it never appear editable to the user?Regards,Mark
Hello, I've deleted several on prem databases from both SSMS and the Database Configuration Utility, however, when I access System > Tools > Environment the deleted databases are still listed under OneStream Database Server with a message "((Database Not Found #))". There doesn't appear to be a way to remove these via the front end. Is there any other way to remove these?

Hi AllI am trying to build BR (Finance or Extender (General Server), activated by Dashboard button) to calculate Journal (based on two different Cubes) and post to Dt or Ct ('if' statement to define where exactly)?I thought it would be possible with 'api.Data.Calculate' by just having simple equation TargetCube = 1stCube - 2ndCube; but cannot get to the place where I could define whether it should be posted as DebitAmount or CreditAmount. Thanks!
Hello,Our Business Operations team provided us the plan in an offline copy of a cubeview in Excel. When the FP&A user opens the offline copy it shows #LOGON instead of the numbers. How can the FP&A user see the actual values instead of #LOGON?is there any setting that will need to be set to view the values before submitting into the application? Thanks
Hi, I am getting many metadata errors when loading a version 6.8 extract in a version 7.4 application. Are there differences in the xml structure between versions? Thanks
Hello, is there someone who knows how to get more information on this error? The next 2 messages refer to a scenario member, for which I run the calculation, but I don't see any "=" that has a wrong statement behind it, could of course be a small typo, but it's a large scenario formula. thanks in advanceBen
Hi all, I'm trying to figure out if there is a dashboard, marketplace solution, or custom report where I can view security groups/users and references where they are assigned to objects. Preferably with the ability to sort. For example:Security Group Name:"Security Group" Object:Application -> Workflow -> Workflow Profiles -> "Cube" -> "WorkflowProfile" -> Profile Properties -> Security -> Access GroupApplication -> Tools -> Business Rules -> Connector -> "Business Rule" -> Properties -> Security -> Maintenance Group Thank you!
Hi Team,Under UD4 I have an XFBR string, which returns Jurisdiction - the case is I can't include there hierarchy.Base, as it needs a single entity to work. Is there any parameter like |CurrentEntity| which I can include in XFBR or do you have any idea how to solve it?
Do we have a function that can be used in a member formula that will calculate the average of the last 3 periods.Example: If my current forecast month is June, I want to calculate the average for the months of May, April, March for which I have actuals for a given account. Thank you.
Posting this because I searched for the answer before putting in a ticket with OneStream support (who were excellent, by the way). One of our applications wasn't working in a lower environment. The connection to the application SQL DB wasn't working. Tried removing and adding it back using the OneStream Database Configuration tool. What the fix was:The “Invalid Connection” issue was due to the DB security settings for the service account user (that was running the OneStream server application). Not quite sure what the issue was -- it might have been the default schema for the user. In any case, looking at the permissions for the user in the other application SQL databases where it was working correctly gave us the guide towards fixing the issue.
Is there a way to set the property of a dashboard button to disabled? I have a dashboard that includes a number of button objects that execute various tasks, such as running a calculation, locking the workflow and so forth. What I'd like to be able to do is to disable a button as part of a business rule so that the user has to follow a sequence of activities and can't, for example, keep pressing the calculate button on the dashboard. I don't see any property in the button object that supports enabled/disabled.
