Hi, does anyone have any idea on the functionality of 'Revert to Default Scenario' setting for a scenario type in the member formula? Apparently, when a calc is written in the default scenario, it gets executed for ALL scenario types regardless of whether the revert to default scenario setting is set to True or False. Any help/lead about the use of this setting is appreciated. Thanks!   JackLacava   

Hello, Wondering if anyone knows how to have the same Style (Primary, Upper, row/column header, data Styles) as Excel in OS Spreadsheet tool. We have defined in Excel a new custom Primary Style which is visible in the Excel QuickView Settings (under 'Excel Styles)...but it is not visible in OS Spreadsheet tool. Thanks, Regards, Harry  

We are on V8.2.2 Cloud and we need to change the Zip File Protection settings. ManageSystemConfiguration is enabled so we can change the settings. The Installation and Configuration guide mentions Zip File Protection settings after Task Activity. Task Activity is there but no Zip File Protection section: Anyone know where they are or do I have raise a ticket with support? Thanks    

Hi All, We are implementing some updates to the security model in our application, and we are coming across some unfamiliar territory, so we're looking for some input. We are using OneStream version 7.2.4. We are trying to prevent the user from seeing data for certain Flow members based on information in the Text1 value of the Flow member. Because we don't want the user to be able to see the data for certain Flow members, we decided to use Data Access Security on the cube, with the idea being that if the user tried to access data they weren't supposed to see, it would return "No Access" in the cell. However, the Text1 values for the Flow members vary based on the scenario and time, so we aren't able to use a simple member expansion formula in the Data Access Member Filter, like F#ParentMember.Base.Where(Text1 Contains 'Valid'). We couldn't get XFBRs to work either, leading us to use a Member List BR. We determined that we can get the Data Access security to call the Member List BR... b

I have a dashboard that has a button and multiple checkboxes attached. When clicking the button, I want it to verify if the user has checked any boxes, and if so, export data that corresponds to the checkboxes. If no checkbox is selected, upon clicking the button, I want the user to receive the following message: "No export option was selected. Please check the tables you want to extract and try again." The current behavior works for when a checkbox is selected. But if I uncheck all boxes and hit the button, it gives me the message, but also opens the file with the data that corresponds to the last checked boxes. The navigation action for the button is currently set to Open File. Any ideas on how to stop opening the file if no checkboxes are selected?  Thank you!

After doing more work on this, we noticed that it looks like the data access security is applied on an app server-by-app server basis, and the app server that's used to handle the security is based on the app server that handles the user's log in. For example, if my log in action is handled by AppServer1, the data access security that's applied to my session is determined by the security that's currently applied in AppServer1. So it's therefore possible that one user, their logging-in being handled by AppServ

Hi, we see some of our automated tasks cancelled by the system (e.g. task status = Cancelled by System in task activity) every now and again, and don't really understand why this occurs. Can someone shed some light on why this happens and how to prevent it?Thanks!Alex

Hi, I'm trying to copy consolidated data from one Cube to another one. All the process works perfectly except for the consolidated data. C#Elimination is not being imported. Hi, I have a requirement to export 2 files and then merge it into single file. While the export can be done via OOTB DM step, I wonder if we have any api or default function which can be used to merge the 2 exported files?

Hi - I am currently working on a dashboard that leverages a data adapter to an external database to fetch detailed GL transactions (similar to drillback functionality) and return them in a BI Viewer table within a dashboard.  The SQL statement currently works as intended for when referencing a single, base member account and comparing to a bound account parameter a la: WHERE   sql_data_account = '|OSAccountParameter|' I'd like to modify this so that records are returned for all base members of an account a la: WHERE   sql_data_account IN '|OSAccountParameter|.base' However, I can't get anything similar to the above to work.  I assume it's because '|OSAccountParameter|.base' gets read a string literal.  Any ideas on how I can reference a list of base member given an account provided by a parameter in SQL? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello, We've a requirement where based on certain condition, data source record needs to go to two or more targets. For example, we've expense amount in source data that needs to be go to different SG&A Category (like R&D, Marketing, etc) based on percentages. and these %s are different for different account. we've not used derivative or lookup transformation yet but it seems it can be achieved. i was going through the documentation but it is not very clear. Pls let me know if we're thinking in right direction or if you can help with some sample, would be really helpful    

Hello OneStream Expert: We are going to to convert one Hyperion Planning application to OneStream Application. In Hyperion application we have SmartList type of Datatype, for example we have an Account Member call  Display_Flag 1, Yes 2. No In web form, it will display Yes or No and data will be saved to Essbase as 1 or 2. But I cannot find the SmartList type of Datatype in OneStream for me to display Yes or No in the Cubeview. I wonder what kind of solution can be applied. Thank you in advance.

Good Day All: What table would contain the intercompany rule profile.  I see source value and target value in the grid.  But I want to see all mapping. On target value, I just see entity name, how do I confirm accounts (A#)? Thanks, Steve P.

Hello Community, I am encountering an issue with a Data Management Sequence consisting of four steps. The first step is not executing as expected. If anyone has insights into potential causes, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Details of the sequence are as follows: The first step is dependent on the successful completion of the second step. The first step involves executing a Business Rule (BR) that includes an Extensibility Rule. The remaining three steps are custom calculations utilizing the Finance rule type.When I run the sequence after running the 1st step separately, it is working fine. But the issue is When i try to run the Sequence which is having all 4 steps it is not working fine  Thank you in advance for your help.

Can we do input in multiple currency? How can we do input in other currency apart from Local? For example, if I have IN entity, I want to do input in SG, USD and other currency?

Hi all, I am importing an international TB from one of our affiliates, and there are local stat accounts included in their submission. I do not want these to be factored in the US GAAP TB file.  They start with 9998*, so I tried a rule to report them as "0" instead. However, I really don't want rows of 0's. Is this something anyone has encountered before, and if so, could you assist me?  Thank you!

Rules TIP  - ONLY write / use Rules when necessary. OneStream projects should not be a contest to see who is better at writing complex rules. If you must write rules please remember: Unless specified, the calculation will run on Base Entities AND each Parent Entity. Use these lines almost always in your rules. For Base entities only use: If Not api.entity.HasChildren Then For Parent entities only use: If api.entity.HasChildren Then For ALL entities: api.Data.Calculate(“A#Account1 = A#Account2”) There are up to 6 calculation operations in the Consolidation process per Entity. Conditional statements can be added to formulas to limit which Consolidation calculation processes will do something for this formula. I'm trying to better understand the best process for moving large Dev dimension changes from to Prod.  I've extracted my Dev and Prod Metadata and have it in the Dimension Comparision utility.  Now I know my differences which I have changes in Prod that aren't in my Dev and of course vice-versa.   I'm looking for feedback, do you edit the xml file or make some changes in Dimension portion of Onestream and re-extract.  The best practices process is what is stumping me or is the answer "it depends"

Hi - I am working on a BI Viewer dashboard and need some help with hyperlink formatting.  I am using a SQL data adapter to an external database which amongst other things, is fetching an internet URL which we are trying to display as a hyperlink with alternative text.  Ideally we'd be able to display text from an alternate line item but I'd settle for something static (i.e. "link").  Thus far I haven't found a way to display anything other than the link text itself and couldn't find anything in the documentation that references the "hyperlink" option under "Data Items / Column Options". Example of current output: Any help would be greatly appreciated!
