Reporting

Is there a way to format excel cell's = 0.000 when exported? It is possible with Cube View formatting if NumberFormat = N4, but I cannot figure out a way to format it the same when exporting the CV to excel. Any information is appreciated, thanks!

The users would like to see Time member Descriptions whenever bringing up a Member Selection window (e.g. when creating Cube Views or Quick Views). This issue appears to be specific to the Time Dimension itself, where any other Dimension will provide the Name and Description, Time only displays Name. Is this a setting within OneStream somewhere that can be changed?

OneStream Release Notes.  There is a release note saying that in 8.2 you can embed refreshable content allowing users to edit and narrate a document for the purpose of inserting content in a published report. Where would I find more information about that please? Thanks very much.

Hi All Here is an example of the problem I am running into. Previously we had an entity called ABC, the hierarchy looked like this, ABC I was asked to create a hedge and a new parent entity. So it now looks like this Total_ABC      ABC      ABC_HEDGE My problem is when I am trying to pull "Total_ABC" to validate, "ABC" and ABC_HEDGE" are not rolling up to "Total_ABC".   I have already ran a force consolidation to try to resolve this problem.   Thanks!  

Hi  I would like to know if there is any settings or how would you deal with a cube view which has a member filter and in there a calculation for example F#None:UD4#AA5EX32011:Name(Cents):GetDataCell((Divide(CVC(Col1), CVC(Col3))*100). The user then exports the cube view to excel and converts each cell to an XFGetCells. See Screenshot 1. Once this is done the columns with the above formula return errors due to the calculation in that members. See Screenshot 2     Any advice or settings or best practice on how to deal with this? I have a column template an the final column the client would like to make comments.  This is the V#Annotation.  I am doing balance sheet planning and have in the rows a mix of V#Periodic for flows and V#YTD for the balances.  The views in the rows take precedence over the view in the column.  I need to use the Row Override in the comments column with the V#Annotation in my column template.  The problem is there is no way to easily define all possible row name in all my cube view forms.  I think there should be some absolute override for all rows.  Does this exist or is there another way to do this I don't know about?

Hi I'm trying to fit the Cube View contents to the width of the page. When I set "Auto Fit to Page Width" = "True" and "Auto Fit Number of Pages Wide" = "1", it increases the font size until the CV reaches the margins, instead of extending the rows with the line-item descriptions. Is there a workaround for this? Regards, Allison

Hello- I am looking to build a shared column template to use across a number of existing row templates. One Column needs a format override applied to all rows. Unfortunately, CV row sets that this needs to be applied to, have differing naming conventions, (not row1, row2 , etc) When defining the Row Range in the Row Override, is it possible to have enter value that will apply to all rows? regardless of the name? Regards

Can a databuffer be made available in a dashboard data set business rule? I'm trying to get a data buffer data into dashboard data set so that I can manipulate the output for reporting.   I tried passing the databuffer from globals.getobject, but even though the object is visible, it doesn't expose all the methods.

I am trying to insert a row into a OneStream Application SQL Table through the SQL editor Dashboard component.  I am getting the following error message.  Is this something that needs to be changed in the SQL or a component setting I need to change.  At the moment I have not added anything additional to my SQL create table statement except the column names and a primary key for the Row Number.  

I have a Cube View that uses a parameter 'pm_EntityList' in the POV to let the user select an entity.Its possible that the same parameter can exist in both workspaces.In my case, the parameter is defined in both the default workspace and a workspace named 'CustomerWorkspace'.If I specify |!pm_EntityList!| in the entity POV for my Cube View, which parameter will the cube view look at?Taken a step further, lets say there are two Named Workspaces with the same parameter.  Now which one is evaluated?

I understand that OS users are able set their own preferences for whether or not Excel Add-in data refreshes upon opening a workbook, however I would like to know if there is an option for the "author" of a Quick View or XFGet form to require a refresh of data when another individual opens it? Not meaning this as an attempt to override the settings of other OneStream users, but instead to make it so that non-OneStream users within the organization are unable to view QV or XFGet form data without having proper access. Hello, I was wondering if there's a time expansion that would only pull a previous year based off the workflow? I tried WFPrior2, but that pulls both prior 2 years. If I want to just pull the time form 2 years ago (i.e. 2022) how could I do that based off the WFYear time expansion? I know i can create a parameter and hard code it, but I would rather not have to go back and update it every fiscal year. Thanks, Will

Hello all, I was asked to code in a December of prior year. I know how to get any month prior to the current month but I am unable to figure out how to get a static month like December no matter which month we are in the current year. Seems simple enough but the time functions are not working. It says 'Unexpected Text' when i enter in the function T#POVPriorYearM12. Is this a POV issue? Not sure what is going on. 

Does anyone have any experience creating a bar graph with 2 dimensions on the x axis?  We have created a bar chart comparing Recurring and non recurring revenue by entity.  Currently, I have both the accounts as the rows and and entities to be displayed in the columns. The client wants to see the same chart but for the current month and two previous months for each of the entities. I have tried placing the T#Month(|CVTime|), T#MonthPrior1(|CVTime|), T#MonthPrior2(|CVTime|)  in the nested member expansion 2 on the columns but that does not allow me to have multiple dimensions on the x axis and only displays those three months. I am currently using the Chart (Advanced) component. Any ideas are appreciated. 

In my cube view, I need a column (% of net sales) to calculate each row/divided by net sales. In the selected column I am trying to only solve for actual. For example actual gross sales/actual net sales, and then actual sales rebates/actual net sales, and so on down my P&L. There must be a way but I have not found anything useful. I'd greatly appreciate any help.  

I am using BIViewer within the dashboard. This BIViewer uses a data adapter of Cube View type. Now, every time the dashboard refreshes, the Cube View runs and the task activity shows a Cube View entry. How can i avoid the task activity entry?

Dear community, I am working on a graph that shows the daily FX rates.  I am bringing the data in through an SQL Data Adapter and have set up the following settings in regard to the data and what is shown on the x-axis: Data is shown in days, but the x-axis name are 'summed' to the months.  This works great except for the fact that it writes the month as full. I think it's based on the Time Dimension Description because the date format in the data table is: MM/DD/YYY As you can see the graph is quite small and the naming takes up a big part.  Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the sourcing of this naming/description? Maybe to a UD8 TimeDescription member or adjust the description of Time in the graph itself, or maybe through the data table or data adapter?    Thanks in advance!

Hello, I used to work on v7.4. When we worked on cube views, changes were saved in Cube Views. It worked perfectly. Recently I began to work on v8.0.0, I noticed that when changing a Cube View, OS opens a second window for the same Cube View under CV Groups of Workspaces. If we make changes in one of the windows without refreshing, and then we modify in the other window, it doesn't take previous changes into account. It's just like the issue when two persons work in the same business rule. Do you have a solution for this issue apart from updating OS version ? Many thanks in advance.
